Non Immigrant B visa in Brisbane

Hi there,

Ive scored a bit of work subcontracting in Thailand after my current gig in Australia. I was wondering about getting a non-immigrant B visa in Brisbane and then applying for the work permit when I hit Thailand. How does this work? And is Brisbane a fairly straight forward consulate to issue Non immigrant Bs? The company I am working for has hinted that once I arrive back in Thailand I can go down to Penang and get the non B. But I will be travelling through Brisbane anyway so I figure it kills 2 birds with the one stone and saves me a mind numbing visa run to Penang by mini - van

They may do a single entry with just a letter and some documents from your employer.
