Today I pulled out of Soi 13, turning left onto Pattaya Beach Rd.

Up to Royal garden, was unable to use the outside lane due to parked motor bikes with side-cars attached. Maybe 3 or 4 parked 30-50 metres apart.

Then from Royal Garden down to the construction zone, car parking on a continuous basis in the outside lane.

So the widening of the beach road seems absolutely pointless.

Parking enforcement non-existent.

They are preparing for the firework competition tomorrow and Saturday hence the tents erected on the outer lane and trucks unloading and so on.

Beach road will be turned into a big walking street in the evenings on those days, or perhaps only the south part, not sure.

I think you are now seeing the real reason for the widening of Beach Road, had nothing to do with traffic flow, but to allow additional revenue to the city for these special events
