November 29, 201312 yr Hi all, I am a Singaporean working in Bangkok with valid work permit and a yearly of multiple-entry VISA. For my wife who is from Myanmar is using my work permit status therefore she also has a multiple-entry VISA too. We had a son 2 months back (born in Thailand) and since none of us (my wife & me) are Thai, therefore, my son will not be a Thai Citizen. Recently, my son citizenship is approved by Singapore Government and now he is holding a Singapore passport. The problem I have is doe my son need to apply a yearly of multiple-entry VISA like my wife? As he right now has a brand new passport without any Thai immigration's stamp... I worry that bringing him back to Singapore next month may pose some problems and once he back to Thailand again, as since he has no multiple-entry VISA, he will be only allowed to stay 30 days.... Anyone with similar case kindly advise. Thanks!
November 29, 201312 yr You can get a non-immi 'O' dependent visa in Singapore. You'll need to take his birth certificate, your work permit, the necessary paperwork (check the Thai consul/embassy in Singapore) and correct fees. We did this last year for our little girl. We are a British-British couple and our girl was born in Phuket.
November 29, 201312 yr What is your actual status here. Do you have a visa from an embassy or an extension of stay from immigration? When you take your child of of the country for the first time you will need to show their birth certificate along with passport to justify there not being an entry stamp in the passport. You should get a non-o visa for your child before you return. If you have a extension of stay your child could then get a dependent extension.
