Anyone know the days the Consulate will be closed during December - January period?

This month the 10th, 30 and 31st they will be closed.

Next month they will be open from the 2nd and then closed on the 20th for a Lao holiday

Google for the consulate website. It's in Thai only but if you open each of the links on the left hand side in turn you will come to a calendar in English that shows the holidays/closure days.

PS I would still use my wife (or a Thai-speaking friend if you don't have one of those) to phone the consulate to double check once I had selected my date. Actually they probably speak passable English if you are lucky and pleasant!
