Yingluck picked No 1 party list candidate

x8_155-wpcf_728x413.jpg.pagespeed.ic.YQj

The Pheu Thai party unanimously voted to put Yingluck Shinawatra on top of the party’s list candidates which will automatically place her as the first choice for the next premiership.

Party spokesman Prompong Nopparit said Monday that the party picked Ms Yingluck as the candidate for the next prime minister because she had shown the leadership in protecting democracy and the safety of the people during the course of the anti-government protests.

Ms Yingluck’s nomination for the next premiership will be formally confirmed by the party’s executive board at the meeting on December 11.

The party has already braced for the forthcoming snap election. Prompong said that the zone committees have started selecting officials tasked with screening candidates.

However, he added that former MPs would still be the first choices with new faces to be recruited.

The Pheu Thai party were ordered to put Yingluck Shinawatra on top of the party’s list candidates which will automatically place her as the first choice for the next premiership after a phone call from Dubai??

  • Popular Post

Haha of course a Shinawatra is going to be on the top spot. These people can talk a lot of crap about being peaceful and doing things for the country but Thailand is still a family business based in Dubai.

That should change non violent protests to violent. Sounds like the streets will be bloody very soon.

  • Popular Post

This is an incredibly inflamatory step. I'm not buying into right or wrong of Thai politics but making this statement, at this time, is either really dumb or really provocative. Wonder which one it is?

  • Popular Post

Here we go again....coffee1.gif

And i thought they cared about the people and did not want the violence.

What did they think would happen now? The protesters who want The Shino clan out, will just go home and sleep well knowing the same clan stayed in power

The PT party knew this decision was going to increase tensions and likely incite violence.

I can't help but get the feeling that they're waiting for the slightest bit of violence so they can drop the hammer on the protestors.

I hate to say it, but this is not going to end peacefully.

So it's vote for PTP, get Yingluck back. Perhaps it says something that my wife, who's never bothered to vote, is now eagerly awaiting the elections to vote against her. She's got no clue who to vote for, though, but as long it's not one of the Shinas. Makes me wonder how many think alike.

This is really one of the best soaps I've ever watched.

I wonder who wrote the scenario.

What will the next episode bring us? The democrats will boycott the elections? Suthep will get shot?

Nope, the Shin Clan wants peace for Thailand and not power...so Yingi said this morning

So you all like the democrat dictator from people council "Mao style" more to be the boss .....? A minority ruling a majority sounds very democratic facepalm.gifbiggrin.png

Perfect choice. Suthep and the Democrats said that nobody trusts her anymore and nobody wants her to lead the country anymore. Let the Thai people speak (and then, Democrats, if you don't win for 23 years in a row, please shut up forever).

  • Popular Post

Of course up to them!

Its not up to the opposotion to choose for the Pheu Thai party!

As a party, they are free to choose anyone they want!

At the election, people will make their choice!

I guess it's like in begin of May 2011 when suddenly Ms. Yingluck applied for party membership and expressed the wish to 'serve'. The Pheu Thai committee which handles these requests studied it for at least 24 hours or maybe even 2 * 24 and concluded "OK, why not. Let's put you on the first place"

Here is a better thought, lets bring in UN observers, so no money changes hands and lets also forbid populist policy's and see how well she is likedthumbsup.gif

I have no doubt her motto for upcoming campaign would be, if you vote for us, we will pay you what we owe you for the rice, but if you do not, then you loose.

Gee i wonder which way Somachai's will vote who has been waiting to be paid for monthsrolleyes.gif

Strictly speaking people cannot vote for Ms. Yingluck when she's just a party list candidate rolleyes.gif

So now we have officially two crazy greedy at head of both sides.

I truly suggest to stay away from the protest sites, something will go wrong surely.

It always goes wrong when you put a lighter close to a gasoline tank.

Actually, that's not true. As a party they choose who Thaksin tells them to choose. They are not free to choose anyone they want.

Do you really think everyone in PTP truly think having Yingluck as PM is the best thing for Thailand?

You really think that not a single PTP MP wants to be PM themselves or feels another member of the party is more competent?

If the Suthep side are serious about clearing the Shin cancer, then this news should really please them. Time out until tomorrow, when the next episode will air.

Precisely! It's a done deal... she comes back as a LIST CANDIDATE... and then swans back into the top spot, and, dare one say it, she'll be an UNELECTED PM (Puppet Muppet). For those posters who decry the protestors as undemocratic, I hope they are able to see the dumb hypocrisy of their ranting.

The country has been well and truly stitched up. 1zgarz5.gif

Foreign observers have been suggested before for an election but apparently somebody in the government of the time didn't want that........

As most Thais are ignorant when it comes to World affairs, democracy, the ability to think, and only care about money and ego;

You get what you deserve.

Thailand will soon be the Greece of the AEC, Isaan will lose to Laos, 555, and Myanmaar will take all the high class tourists.

But the S clan will rool.

Welcome to the darkside.

I wonder how much is left in Mr.T's warchest .. the democrats have been piling in the dough for the votes for a while, I reckon. Nice little extra payday for Isaanites. Have to tell my MIL to be upcountry when they start to divide the goods.

What are you talking about?

So if the PTP member does not agree with this choice, they are free to leave it!

If they want they are free to join the democrat party or another party

if they want they are free to create a new party!

This how do work a party, do you get it? And its certainly not the opposition who gonna choose them, are you insane?

Remember Newin, well he did leave the coalition, he was free to do what he want!

Thaskin doesnt hold a gun on the PTP party member.

Remember Samak, another PTP member, also elected, well you didnt want him also and he was not blood related to TS.

The most insane thing from your message, what on earth does allow you to speak in the name of PTP member.

because you are just talking <deleted>...

well the Dems are going for a record 10th defeat in a row

this democracy thing is a real pain

why oh why can't they just let the amart elite rule? they are born for it after all

all this democracy nonsense is sooooooooooo inconvenient

When the news was out that Thaksin had skyped-in into a cabinet meeting to tell his ministers how he want his country run, there were those who say "well, they don't have to listen".

Pheu Thai members agree on the 'Thaksin thinks, Pheu Thai acts' otherwise they wouldn't (be accepted). That's why Pheu Thai members frequenly feel an urge to go to HongKong or Dubai and somehow manage to greet their boss.

Remember Newin, switched from PPP to Democrats coalition and still not forgiven by Thaksin. Remember the late Samak who could have been re-elected the next day, but too independent was replaced by Thaksin's brother-in-law somchai?

The most insane thing is I have to agree with you, <deleted> you think you can speak for the Pheu Thai members here, dear bender.
