Mobile Broadband options Phuket

Featured Replies

Hi.

When I was in Phuket about two years ago stayed in an apartment complex without wi-fi.Had a small laptop(netbook) with usb port and used a dongle(like usb stick) with a sim card and was able to access internet ok.

What options are available now because most likely on my next trip would be staying again in apartments without wi-fi.This time would probably bring a tablet that would have micro usb connection.I have seen in some countries you can buy a mobile dongle that you dont connect to your device but it sets up a local wifi once you have inserted the correct sim.

Also if this is available where is the best shop to go to in Patong.

Thanks
