Having a Christmas party/dinner. Went to Rimping. The cooked ham (bone in) was about 5,000 baht for 10 kg. What are other choices?

Why not try makro a good choice of everything now for the farang christmas.

And of course that's where your local classier restaurants will be buying from.

If your handy with a butchering knife then go to the market and get some real meat.

Try Northern Farm on Huay Keaw. I have bought hams and turkeys from them and have always found them to be good.

Ham -bone in- from Rimping is very good. Do you really need 10 kg? Have them slice off what you needand probably pay the same price or a little more and not have the bone.

Wonder if Makro sells whole hams; never saw them. Not to say they have good ham at all!

Now you're talking!.... when I went to buy a leg of lamb at Rimping, I thought I was buying the whole SHEEP FARM when I saw the price.

It's been a while to be honest, and I bought the whole leg so it was in the thousands.

Google "Northern Farm Products Chiang Mai", i think they have a shop on Huay Kaew.
