The 9 Shrines of Chiang Rai

My wife and other villagers speak about the "9 shrines of Chiang Rai", a must visit tour, and

want me to arrange a bus to take a bunch of us there.

I have searched extensively but had no luck. Does anyone know that they are referring to?

I think she means visiting 9 temples in one day....not one less not one more...thai always consider 9 as an auspicious number...bring them there it's a blessing and merit making...

Yes - tour of all nine is to be completed in one day. Total is 440 km.

Wife just came home with calendars - specifically, Toyota Chiang Rai Calendars. Guess what... the 9 shrine tour is front and center on the calendar - including pics and the map.

Grab one from your local CR Toyota dealer.

We were just in for a service last week and no calendar. I even started a nice topic about the good service, but still no calendar. I am truly beside myself and don't know what to do. Perhaps I should throw a farang tantrum and swear to never set foot in Toyota again.

On second thought, I think I will just be happy that you have found what you were looking for and even got a nice calendar in the bargain. Hope you and your group have a great time.

My wife have told me that you can get a free tour by those wagons next to the kings statue..but she say it is set up for tourist and thats it no further storie behind it.
