ED Visa after 2 Triple Entry Tourist Visa

I got my first Triple Entry Tourist Visa in my home country. If I go back to home country in the summer when I have used up my first Triple Entry Visa. Stay in home country for 4-6 weeks. Then apply for another triple entry tourist visa and go through the 2 border runs and 3 30 days extensions. At the end of all this will it still be okay to apply for an ED visa or should I do this after my first tourist visa expires.

No problem to get ED visa after tourist visas. You can do it however you want.

Does it not get more tricky getting the ED Visa if you have a larger number of Tourist Visa's

Not at all. The only location that has made a problem is the HCM city consulate in Vietnam.

Plus you will only have 2 tourist visas from your home country not a whole bunch of them from nearby embassies or consulates.
