It feels as if Layan has been in a time warp. Years with no change. Laid back. Bit scruffy. But real. Locals there on sundays. Muddy river. National park.

And then the fences went up. To add to the wretched one beside the road in. The local cafe owners tell me it is the new elite NIKKI BEach club spa hotel etc etc. From the back it looks like a place of correction.

What do you bet? Another global resort alongside within two years? And then laid back Layan laid to rest. Be where the beautiful people go. Hi Nikki. My usual.

Yes, massive marketing behind this one. At first I was skeptical about the concept, I mean, how many high end clubbers Ibiza style are really going to take part, but after seeing the marketing machine behind it, it just may work.

Not during low season though.....maybe they'll shut for those months.

it will work in high season with all the guests in the area and if they run a free shuttle bus....:-)

No shuttle buses here phuketrichard, people will be expected to pull in with their, Lambos, Porsches, Mercedes.
