PeterSmiles
Most motorcyclists are already on board because they keep their headlights on all the time. You say, most motorbikes i see have never lights on , neither headlight or tail light.

virtualtraveller
The country has been bitterly damaged by Mr. Suthep [simile: Thaksin] and his followers, Mr. Prompong added. sjjmmi
I've been driving with the lights on for years. Not for protest but for safety. I don't care if anyone gets annoyed because at least they see me. Take care my friend could be your last year in Thailand

tezzainoz
" Pheu Thai Party has invited the Thais to turn on their cars′ front light at daytime to express their support for the upcoming general election." Erm, won't that drain the battery? I don't drive so could be wrong about this. Does seem to be a stupid idea nonetheless. Lights on but no ones home is a phrase that springs to mind. Actually turning on headlights during the day while driving is an excellent way of preventing road accidents, many countries do this and the results were fantastic, with pedestrian accidents down by almost 38% and car collisions on main roads down to an incredible 45% were statistically reported by many countries. Yes his is right, so why did the government not say this to save lives on the road Lives are worthless but win an election is worth big money
thaiguzzi
Too bad, because it already looks like "lights out" for Yingluck and PTP. Why would you thinks that? If there is another election, they will win, just like they won the previous five. They have the numbers. Sure, just like Erich Honecker kept winning elections. Ok, now if you really think that. Compare the DDR situation with actual Thai situation. If we were in the DDR, these mobs would have been vaporized after some hours. Changing the subject, bit off topic, but did you all know that the Communist party of Laos, learnt their Commie trade, and all things Communist from the East Germans. Interesting fact. Back in the 70's all their "indoctrination" on how to run a country was done in the DDR. Hence, a lot of the olde skool party big wigs to this day like the occasional German meal ie wurst and sauerkraut, potato salad etc. True.

khunsuar
Problem with Suthep and the yellow shirts is that they are arrogant enough to think they represent the whole of Thailand and Thailand revolves around them. I wish this 'lights on' idea could wake this zombified yellow group up, but it probably won't. They are too far gone. Just replace Suthep with Thaksin, and you have a more accurate picture. timewilltell
I would have thought the last think Yingluck wants is to have an illuminated electorate but maybe she thinks it doesn't matter since the choice between two black holes is really no choice at all.
