Blokhinson Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Hi, everyone! I'm not sure if it's up-to-date information, but I noticed people keep asking about Bang Rak area accommodation, so did I, and I've met one recently. I've been living in Maenam now (if anyone needs photos, text me), but this one is cute though, 150 metres from the sea, etc. Don't wanna write prices and other stuff as it is a non-commercial resource. Here it is: ....................... .......................

Aion Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 I am coming to koh samui in June 2014 and I want a cheap long stay room preferably within about 3 kilometres of chaweng. I want to pay no more than $10 a day , is this realistic? 1
samuijimmy Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 That's about 9000 baht a month... quite doable, if you look around for a house....(not resorts) even for less... but you need to search around the different Sois .... Some will include electric and water... you need to ask! You'd probably get a better deal on a one year contract... so it depends on what you call "long term" ... 1

iluvbeaches Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Hi forum, We are a young couple traveling with a small child 2yo. to Samui december to january this year (40 days or so). We have been before and know generally the areas but that was during the low season and several years ago. Any recommendations for condo or apartments with communal areas (BBQ, pool, etc.) that is less of a party place and more for families? We like to have fun too so not completely dead. Preference is walking distance to a beach and not too far away from convenience stores and some restaurants. Parking is needed too. We were thinking Lamai or outskirts of Chaweng towards crystal beach (we stayed there and loved it last time). Mae nam had pretty rough water in the low season (for an infant) so figured the east coast would be better but open for any area. I am familiar with going rates but our budget is pretty open within reason. Any feedback or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
