Buy new car, useful to visit several branches for faster delivery ?

Featured Replies

hello, do you think it can be useful to visit more than 1 car dealer of each make to expect faster delivery ? For imported cars why do we have to wait 5 months when a boat takes 1 month to arrive from Europe ? Thank you for sharing your experience.

Just a wild guess....but I would imagine it takes a while to collect the orders from all the dealers then when they have enough orders in hand organise finance, put the order in and then arrange a date for shipment.

My only experience with shipping is containers out of China and Taiwan to Oz....so I am no expert. biggrin.png

The production of continental cars are prioritised for European market and other left side driver countries first. Then the production starts for right side driver cointries. Look at Benz CLA 250. The waiting tine is 1 year for singapore, malaysia and thailand. But it is already on the road in Germany.

Ahhh, but the price we pay is largely due to government taxes, and volume wise, Europe is a bigger market. So from bottomline perspective, the manufacturer will give priority to the bigger cash cow.

considering the price we pay here we should be served first !

The extra doesn't go to the manufacturer.
