As far I know about plastic surgery boom in Thailand, as for many Thai women and men too, especially Thai women want their faces surgically modified to look Caucasian (oval face, bridge nose, big eyes, plump lips and refine chin). I read one Thai website about beauty that today's mainstream is all about plastic surgery to look Caucasian (or Japanese). Many Thai women show off their faces after surgery.

I am certain that it will not stop at 50K, your g/f will want more to be part of the mainstream. Also not only cosmetic surgery but also hi-end handbags are in (Prada, LV, Gucci) that many Thai women would go out of their ways to buy real designer's name handbags and proudly post their bags on websites.

I forgot to add that light skin is part of mainstream fashion among Thai women and men. Many of those people who have their faces surgically modified, they tend to change their personality to become arrogant. They have this hang up that they think they are better looking than those Thais who do not have their faces modified to look beautiful like them.

I have money to pay for CS but I like my face au naturel and also I can't stand the feeling of a piece of silicon on my nose.

I've yet to have a SO actually improved by CS aesthetically.

But for some the boost in self-esteem has led to good results for a time.

They always end up wanting more and get that same plastic kateuy look, which I hate.

If her friends talked her into it, let them pay for it too!

If you agree do it, That being said she will become attractive to many more, so your time together will be limited, she will look for others, with more money, better looking, increase status; etc.

If you think that will happen tell her "No" if she leaves better she leave before you expend the 50 K on her!

You should know her better than anyone else, go with the impression you have of her, only you can be the only true judge of that.

Friends advising friends!! Very dangerous. She is obviously listening to her friend(s) advice. Maybe try to make her feel more confident about what she has - I'm not saying you don't - but if her self esteem is a bit low, telling her how beautiful she is and maybe paying more attention to the parts(s) she wants improving might help.
