Obtaining a Thai Drivers License

Featured Replies

Well I am new here and have seen people say to get a Thai drivers license you need a work permit or have condo or business in Thailand !

Now I am going to have a3 month visa from Thai consulate in Australia so want to know would I be able to get Thai drivers licens whilst I am there, I will be staying in Jomtien area, Will take Australian Drivers License, my Passport , International Drivers License with me it only has 6 months until expires, I could get letter from my Embassy to verify it is me on my id,s

Only thing is if they want address can I use Hotel where I stay? If not what other ways are around it or what I need to do? It cost me every time I do International D/L so I thought if I get Thai D/L I can eliminate that international D/L as I visit quite a bit and go up country a fair bit also.. Any ideas not negative just good comments thanks

What Visa do you have which has a 3 month validity?

Is it a single entry Non-Immigrant "O' Visa?

Just curious if you bothered to read the Pinned Topics section at the top of the page?

As beechguy pointed out Please see the pinned topic at the top of the page, this will answer all your questions. Thank you.
