Woman executed on Pattaya Beach in front of well-known Hotel

PATTAYA: -- A 27 year old office worker, who was preparing to start her working week, was gunned down on Pattaya Beach Road, in front of a popular Hotel early on Monday Morning.

Police and rescue workers were called to the Central Pattaya section of Pattaya Beach just before 7.30am and inspected the body of Khun Sariyar who was wearing her work uniform and had been shot three times in her head. She was pronounced dead by a Forensic Doctor who soon arrived.

A 38 caliber weapon was used in the attack and seconds before the shooting a Speedboat Operator on Pattaya Beach heard the victim shout “Stop!” and then heard three shots and saw a man leave on a motorbike who was wearing a safety helmet which was concealing his face.

What is happening in this country ?? coffee1.gif

Murder happens. It's amazing that some still seem suprised that Thailand isn't a crime free paradise.

and what with the Khmer Rouge blood relatives just across that imaginary line n all..

"Executed"??? Call it "murder" <deleted>....

Who writes this drivel?

May she rest in peace...

Well, considering this is Thailand, and those words are in fact interchangeable in this context, even to a native speaker; perhaps you could also regale us with your vocabulary critique of the Thai language version of this story.

As such an erudite exemplification of your native language perhaps you should really know that the words, even here, are not interchangeable, even in this context, and yet you seek to educate others.

Could you explain the mystifying phrase 'vocabulary critique'? Are you really sure the word 'regale' is correct in this context?

O, to be such a self-assured person as yourself. We honour you for your self-worth.

Execution style murder should work.

R.I.P.

HD ... one too many last night?

It was an execution ... 3 bullets to the head and sped away

If you do not like the drivel perhaps you should apply for a job as writer

RIP to the young girl who left us far too soon

May her executioner receive the same legal punishment

It seems to be more a young Thai male problem than specifically Pattaya.

Slightly off topic but recently when the wife said the nephew wouldn't be coming to stay during the school holidays as his father wanted him in the monk-hood again.

Like military service perhaps a good option for those formative years.

Every country has its laws. Unfortunately Thailand is lawless therefore the laws useless, they are not obeyed. They are there for order and peace and presently Thailand has none.

Okay English language police, does this work for you? "Murdered execution style" She's still horribly dead, no matter how you put it into words.

Can the so-called journalists at Pattaya 1 think before they write. Using the word "executed" is totally out of order. Seeing headlines like that, any would-be tourists will be running for the next plane to anywhere but Thailand.

It is a tragedy that she was killed, but please report it as "killed" or "shot". Any killing is unaccpetable but it needs to kept in context.

My condolences to her family, let's hope Pattaya's finest find the culprit and justice is done.
