Arrested last night at the Shinawatra building by police - Sergeant Major Narong - charged with carrying firearms without permission , carrying ammunition, knive, telecommunications device without permission.

What was he doing there? did he know the protesters would go there today?

Their strategy in seizing power from democratically elected government were : Distortion,rumour, untruth, misinformation, smear, lies. Their purpose in sezing power is so that they can have their alleged irregularity, corruption cases discovered by PTP led government sweep under the carpets or whitewashed.

Failing to use the PV temple issue, they turned to amnesty bill. They distorted and killed the amnesty bill so that those PAD leaders accused of serious crimes will have to join them, so that in seizing power they too can have their crimes whitewashed.

They maliciously used the courts and independent agencies. Study closely and you will find CC judges (I am not against CC but the judges) made rulings according to their personal opinions, conjecture, not according to the principle of evidence and justice. Some Judges and so called independent agencies officials were entangled with politics.

Courts and independence agencies process, duties, responsibility are unclear. They are crossing each other's boundary and thus opened to judicial corruption and abused of power and created confusion, lack of trust and transparency. eg. CC judges duty is to rule whether a bill is constitutional or not and thus send the bill back to the lawmakers for further review and scrutiny or re-submit the bill. A bill which is not constitutional does not mean lawmakers violated the law. To rule that lawmakers have violated the law on a bill that passed through parliamentary process is in itself violating section 68.

Therefore, lawmakers reserved the right to not accept the ruling which is unconstitutional. This together with the amnesty bill were distorted to such extend that they were maliciously used by the DEM to incite unrest.

The so called blanket amnesty bill was for reconciliation and unity and moving the country forward. But the DEM smeared and distorted it that it is for one person and whitewash corruption cases. The amnesty bill is not to the advantage of the DEM. Though it covered AV and Suthep, but it does not included their irregularities, and corruption cases discovered by the PTP led government.

A fool can 'fab'ricate more 'facts' and ask more questions than a Dutch uncle has time to correct and/or answer. Apart from the fact that we did have the same discussion a few times already this year.

Protests started when the details of the sneakily altered amnesty bill became known. That was when the Pheu Thai led commission which needed to check the bill between reading #1 and reading #2 came with 'novel' changes'. A blanket amnesty with and extended period (2004 to 2013-09-08). Normal Thai protested.

The whole shebang was the result of the undemocratic Pheu Thai led government pushing through in two readings and votes in slightly more than 24 hours a very controversial bill. UDD leader and Pheu Thai MP Korkaew with a good dozen other red-shirt Pheu Thai MPs voted for their 'blanket amnesty', Dr. weng and Nattuwut abstained like the late Seh Daengs daughter. The PM continuing saying 'wait, go home, more to do', followed by "it's up to the senate", Senate speaker trying desperately to get a quorum before the agreed time for debate to spare the government a headache. Etc., etc.

Please Taksin's cronies knew passing the amnesty was wrong and people would kick up a fuss and they chose to do it anyway because they think they are above the law. Had they been working in the interests of the country INSTEAD of the interests of the fugitive puppet master then there may not be protests now, just mass discontent at the many other bad things they have done.

No. On the contrary, Luang Por Buddha Issara is the monk that investigated and personally presented all the evidences of the case to the DSI (many more charges than the ones that you mention). But the DSI did absolutely nothing. Not even revoke his passport.
