Japan still tops foreign investor list: BoI

Applications for the Board of Investment (BoI) privileges in 2013 exceeded expectations, at Bt1.1 trillion.

In the year, the investment privileges went to 2,237 projects that proposed 207,463 jobs.

Japan remained top on the foreign investment list by destination, said BoI SecretaryGeneral, Udom Wongviwatchai.

He added that services and utilities accounted for the largest share of the investment value; with 849 projects worth totally Bt522.8 billion, up 21 per cent over 2012.
