Am I reading the Hull website correctly in that tourist visas are now only available from Hull by going to the Consulate. i.e. Postal applications are no longer accepted.

The Liverpool website states visas are only issued by appointment. I think this has been the case for many years. However the Liverpool website also states holders of double and triple entry tourist visas need to leave Thailand for at least 48 hours each time.

Can anyone confirm or deny these 2 apparent changes.

Since the 15th none of the consulates can accept mail in applications as dictated by the embassy. The embassy now accepts mail in applications since the 2nd of this month. Source and more info here: http://www.thaiembas....uk/?q=node/401

There is no 48 hour out of the country requirement to use an entry for any visa.
