pantareiyingluck
Pay the farmers with shares in the upcoming High Speed Railnetwork. By doing so YL makes a smart move and the farmers have great perspectives for them and their next generations.Paying farmers from a non existent fund when there is no government seems a bit like asking for more trouble. As if PTP need that. Has Yingluck ever made a 'smart' move, except in her fashion accessories? The best smart move was to win the elections with a majority. The State Railway of Thailand is an existing body. And sijce it is State owned funding shouldn't be an issue. The remark about Fashion Accessories proofs you have a denigrating view on her as a person/woman.
JoeLing
Pay the farmers with shares in the upcoming High Speed Railnetwork. By doing so YL makes a smart move and the farmers have great perspectives for them and their next generations. Now that would probably be a pretty good political move and give her a bit of breathing space. At least until the "share holders" realize, the high speed train is not operational yet and those posters are just photoshoped Maybe a promise of buying more rice, giving every buffalo an iPod and abolish elections might get some people excited too Edited January 24, 2014 by JoeLing
icare999
IF approval is given, b10 billion will be borrowed per week to pay b130 billion debt, so some farmers will have to wait another 13 weeks. That will make them happy. Meanwhile BAAC refuses to recognise inflated value of farmer's rice and will only extend credit on MARKET value. Farmers, welcome to the world of the economically sane. So around 17 weeks for some to get paid. Like you say that will go down well. While the farmers voted for this bunch of thieves they do not deserve to get screwed over like this, I am certain many are getting into serious trouble with loan sharks and they are not to blame for the late payment so they should be compensated for the additional bank interest fees they are incurring. Total clusterf$%#, but oh so predictable. Good to see the bank is not being stupid. Shame the govt doesn't seem able to sell the rice mountain for love nor money. These muppets have wrecked the countries main export business in just 3 years. Way to go Thaksin. they do deserve it and have played their part in subjecting Thailand to them oat corrupt evil bunch I've seen in over 30 years here. They are as guilty as any of corrupt polaticians they elected and gladly took their bribes. Now they have to pay the price and deserve IMO all they don't get. No sympathy at all and they will probably happily vote again for their hero Taksin so let their Hero bail them out which would only cost a small fraction of what he's stolen from the Thai people
