eddyxwb
Would it be better to rent a minivan, use multiple taxi, take BTS, or other commuting method to commute from places to places around Bangkok for one week?
roamer
Somewhat vague ? I mean if you were talking about the next few weeks you could rule out anything on wheels. And I can think of multiple places BTS & MRT don't reach. So even on a normal day it depends on the route, as it does in most cities.
craigt3365
Yes, a very difficult question to answer. Traffic is a mess in Bangkok, especially now. If you have a local driver, then a mini-van might be OK. Just get use to long waits in traffic jammed streets. BTS is fantastic, IF your destination is near the BTS. Even if not, getting a taxi when you exit is normally easy.
dddave
And do not rule out river express boats as a great way to get from one end of town to another. I wish I could recommend the canal boats as well but they are so difficult to enter and exit and the klong water so filthy and dangerous that they are not a viable way to go.

eddyxwb
Van rate 2000 baht pet day not include gAsoline. I was thinking of this direction too. What is a good place to rent a mini-van or hire a driver that has mini-van? Our budget can range between $50 to $100 plus gas.
dddave
Try "Thai Happy Taxi" (www.thaihappytaxi.com) Friends used them and were impressed with the service and the driver.
