Well I would prefer him 1000 times before any other Shinawatra....At least he has something like a mafia style honor.... Brawl with the protesters....but we won't need the police......A Shinawatra would sue them for 1 wrong word.....They opened 500 law suits against Sondhi only for his speeches.... As Chuvit is the only one who worked himself in an open market and is surely 1000 % smarter than the current PM. A bit too mafia.....His bulldozing of the shops on his property on Sukumvit in the middle of the night was pretty pathetic, but I guess appropriate if you feel you are a powerful mafia don. He also allegedly had no problem coercing under aged hill tribe girls to provide sexual services for politicians and senior police in his prostitution operations. Is the previous status quo of Thaksin and his clones looting the country somehow beneficial to Chuwit ? I believe that there are in total 54 parties contesting the election what is undemocratic about that? With regards to Chuwit he will gain a lot of respect for to standing to these protesters that seek to compromise his right to vote. In defense of Chuwit if that is at all possible I am no fan of his - I think he is a perfect example of what is wrong with much of Thailand, but he came to vote and was attacked first - that is a fact that is not being reported by the Nation and conveniently not considered by many - He did nothing but walk down to vote and the men in black came running out whistle and all and attacked them. Normal Suthep Fascist supporter activity, to bad so many others don't have body guards to protect their rights. From what I have been reading, it is about reform and stopping the "paid" voting system, which they feel is not fair. Their methods are probably crass because there are no compromises with the current govenment. Both sides seem to do what they feel "is neccessary"...regardless if we look down a longish farang noses and comment negatively. I do not pick sides, not my place nor my country. Anybody that would read through some of the forums on Thai Visa would see that some kind of reform is needed. It looked like Chuwit never got a swing in. At least the guy that went up against Chuwit had the character to go at him alone , whereas Chuwit needed his "staff."
