We've had (and still have) a great "Thai Smiles" thread, but having skimmed through the forum, I didn't immediately see a 'faces' thread. There are so many interesting faces, facial expressions etc that are worthy of being recorded. Formal and informal portraits, candid shots...whatever! I'll kick it off with this lovely lady from Ko, near Li, Lamphun....sadly no longer with us.

The first photo was posed. Khun Yai Op was delighted that I wanted to take her pic. The next two were sneaky candid shots using a long lens.

Hey Robb

Nice composition; but your subject is a little dark? Not sure what software you use; but if you can raise the shadows a bit you can bring out their expressions more clearly. Attached just has the shadows lifted a bit. Just a thought.

Thx.... I didn't edit the shot at all, other than cropping it hard back to the subjects. In fact, almost all of the shots I have posted have been unedited, as far as I remember (not a boast....I have been lazy!!)

However, I normally use Paintshop Pro for editing.

Here is the original photo, uncropped, but resized to 1200pixels max.
