Slow Cooker

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Anyone know where I can buy a slow cooker in Pattaya please?

I have tried Homeworks on Sukhumvit, near Big C Pattaya Tai, and Index on Sukhumvit. I know they sell them in Thailand, as I have found them on the Otto website http://otto.co.th/products/product_detail.php?group=1&subgroup=6&id=27

Thanks

Peter

Maybe try:Tesco, Big C Extra (Pattaya Klang), or Power Buy (inside Tukcom, Pattaya Tai).

Thanks for the reply Michaelaway, but was hoping somebody might have actually bought or seen one, as opposed to me heading to all the electronic stores in town.

They might (should) have them at Central Dept. - Central Festival Mall - Give them a call. If not in Pattaya then you should find one at Verasu and at Central Dept. store(s) in Bangkok. Again, call (or have someone call for you) some of these places before you head out.

Best of luck.

They certainly did sell them in Carrefour so my first stop would be Big C extra

Just get a rice cooker

Sharp or similar

Easy set to warm not cook and your away

I brought mine a year ago at Macro and believe they still have them around 650 baht

Thanks for the replies

Robinson in Chiang Mai has them.....which is another good excuse for you to get out of Pattaya!

Correct, they still have them. I was there the other day and saw one for I think 650 THB.

Big C Extra, Home Pro, Power Buy, or the kitchenwares store next to Foodland. One if these 4 stores should have it and they're all in a line within 10 minutes of each other on Central Road.

Update, tried Makro today. They don't sell them, will be heading to Big C Extra tomorrow. Thanks all.

Sorry pattayapete69 for Macro not having. Like I said I brought it there a year ago and sure I saw them since. It was an "Otto" brand.

No need to apologise. I was heading past anyway.

That's what I did, Hitachi brand "Fuzzy Rice Cooker" from Numchai. Many functions, all types of programs. Slow cook function is perfect for stews, lamb shanks, whatever. Never cooked rice in it, fuzzy or otherwise.

Update, tried Makro today. They don't sell them, will be heading to Big C Extra tomorrow. Thanks all.

Interesting. I just returned from Makro and was looking at several different models.

Got one at HomePro next to Big C Extra Pattaya Klang. Thanks for all responses.

Glad you found one, I use mine all of the time. Cooked stewed beef "hump" this morning. Ever baked bread in a crock pot? Irish soda bread is good dipping bread for stews, etc. and is esy to cook in a crock pot and doesn't heat up the kitchen like your oven does.

i sugest u buy one with ceramic pot, i have one with clay pot it's hard to keep clean.

...oh too late u already got one :)

please tell me members, are these slow cookers any good?

Yup, bought mine in Makro and use it regularly, last week did lamb shank (3) ate one and froze two, later did chicken casserole, same again, ate one and froze two portions! Very easy to us just get the ingredients together, pop them in the pot and leave it to cook whilst you enjoy yourself! Oh and I also do a nice Irish stew with red wine and Guinness!

Great also for doing Pinto beans and smoked ham hocks.

Thank you for the reply's. Can I come around next time you do Irish Stew? wai.gif
