Non-rip off telephone shop

Featured Replies

Morning All

I've been trying to call HSBC to activate my new card but the I get NUMBER BARRED on my dtac phone. No idea why...

So I'm going to call them from a phone shop - wheres there a non-rip-off joint in central Pattaya?

Cheers LL

Cant think of any overseas call shops anymore. Why not just get a 12call pay as you go with 50/100 baht credit....dial 00944 only about 5 baht a minute to UK

What number are you calling, 0800....? That probably is why the call won't go through. If you have internet banking you should be able to activate a new card there (at least acc. HSBC website)

My internet banking authentication expired - My IB number isn't recognised.

I'll try 1-2-call

that number is barred on DTAC

Weird. I just tried it on AIS, work fine. Good luck.

Sorry if stating the obvious, but, is your DTAC calling plan enabled for International calls?

For phone calls, in the 'old days' CAT office on South Pattaya road, near junction with 3rd road and shell station, was the place to make correct price overseas calls.

Skype

From mobile phone, dial 006 prefix on True and or 005 prefix on AIS or 004 prefix on DTAC. Much cheaper international calls. True and AIS also have cheaper, by dialing 00600 or 00500 prefixes, which I think is VOIP.
