Shouldn't take long, there isn't any, ask Japan.

The only Nuck country there is the US isn't it ?

Certainly NZ has a nuck free policy which is why the US still has sanctions in place against them.

Still I suppose they all must have some small amounts of radioactive material used for medical purposes.

Thai and safety?

Reading the article in this thread, the conference is only hosted in the Thailand and not attended by Thais.

Also if you bothered to read the article, it is not about safety but, "technical knowledge about the security maintenance"

Thailand has a 2-megawatt nuclear reactor operated by the OAP (Office of Atoms for Peace). Also if you may recall the accident with the improperly stored and unlicensed Cobalt 60 was taken by scrap yard workers and opened up. Our physics research lab also stores radioactive isotopes so there are quite a few sources around Thailand.

"which resulted in ten people being hospitalized for radiation injury, three of whom died, as well as the potentially significant exposure of 1,872 people"

I hope you meant nuke (nuck means http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=nuck)

And no, the USA is by no means the only nuclear power. What gave you that idea?

On Japan, some simulations of the Fukushima radiation show it will seep into the Bay of Thailand within a couple of years.

But this conference is about security - not safety - such as, for example, this attempted sale of caesium-137 inside Thailand : http://cns.miis.edu/stories/030717.htm

I guess Thailand is still going ahead with its first commercial nuclear reactor too.

so after 4 years of hosting this extremely important conference, Thailand has firmly established its credentials for being treated as a responsible nuclear powered nation in the near future....
