DSI backs down on threat to reveal 'backers'

BTW did we already get the names of the five foreign leaders of the PDRC ? Didn't the DSI, CAPO or CMPO promise us that info a while ago?

We got the Indian guy so that leave 4

then the 2 French army guys were pictured, but have gone to ground. A canadian was caught working as security on the march,

Still a bit up in the air, but they have got some foreigners already.

Got a lot more Army and Navy involved, and that is starting to really come out into the open this week.

All in all, they picking them off, and the backers will be getting the shi1ts this week as well.

Slowly slowly. Don't want a big arrest with Tear Gas etc or shooting as this pays into PDRC's desperate hands. We've seen from the leaked list what we knew. Some big business in the Asoke Central area are backing.... BUT. oh happy day, are now seeing their business start to tank!!

Singha were so worried that they made one of their clan change her name, so the pressure does pile on and it does work.

Hey Pippy Longstocking, did you see the company list on the other papers site? I doubt very many of those will be getting the shits - perhaps the other way round because it's gone public. You think bev company 1 and 2 in there are worried? Really?

Looks like someone had enough brains to tell Tarit that releasing the names of the anti-government protest financiers would probably violate Thailand's defamation laws, exposing those behind the release to both civil and criminal sanctions.

Proof wouldn't be protection from libel. Damage to the company would be damage all the same, true or not.

Someone needs to explain the thai defamation law to Tarit

They would be of Heineken, or tiger came up with an anti yellow pro ptp marketing own for a few months. If half the country boycotts their product, that would surely get their attention.

More propaganda and wishful 'thinking'. Any link to any article about the 'Canadian'? Or the others?

Also you haven't a clue about the Singha lady. Nothing to do with CMPO but all to do with Kwanchai (the one with the police escort to vote) instructing his red numbskulls to boycott Singa and sending them to intimidate small shopkeepers & restauranteurs to do the same.

The Post has listed 32 names of companies & individuals that were leaked from CMPO's witch hunt list. Both Singha & Chang on the list which rather reveals the probability that it is all BS.

I hope they sue Tarit's arse off as he and the other 2 stooges are out of their depth.

You mean Thaksin supporters boycotting products from the mentioned companies?

Tharit just told the press that the list that was leaked was not 100% correct, only half correct.

He also said that tomorrow he will reveal his list.

Pleeeeeease Tharit DO reveal that list. That will be the beginning of the end. If divided Thailand starts to boycott "each others'" products, Thaksin's clan will also loose a lot, maybe more than anybody else. Thaksin will only have more enemies. Infact, everybody will have more enemies. I can't believe PT is waiting for that.

Come on Tharit DO IT!!

What will Thaksin clan lose? These people have backed the democrats, pad and now Suthep for decades. They are a huge part of the system that needs reform.

Do you have any idea how many companies in Thailand have links to Thaksin? Do you think they are happy if this boycott game starts?

Let me give you 2 names: AIS and SC assets. If people start to boycott AIS do you think Singapore will be happy? As far as I know Thaksin visits Singapore a lot.

Just believe me that Thaksin doesn't want any boycotts and therefor I strongly believe that he is the one stopping Tharit from publishing it.

Many of them have also backed the PTP. Old Charoen of Thai-Bev, for example, was very much involved with Thaksin during his attempt to buy into Liverpool.

Companies in all countries will support parties which they feel will help their businesses - often backing both sides of the largest competing parties. I'm not saying it's right but that it happens.

DSI backs down on threat to reveal 'backers'

Are these by any chance "Men in Black"? Or, "Senior Persons"? Or, "Influential People"? Or, "Master Minds"? Or, "Foreigners"?

Or my favorite: Black clad Senior Master Minds of influence who are not in Thailand right now...

So instead of simply saying, 'the list is not from us, I do not now where it is from', he says the list is not 100% correct only 50% correct! Does that mean half the names are missing? Does that mean they need an emergency meeting to take people of the list?, Whatever, he has now by admission linked the list and it's contents directly to himself and the DSI....stupid.

The names of the companies and associated individuals in the CMPO witchhunt are there on the website of "The Big Paper whose name we are not allowed to mention"

The list was "leaked" to the media. Some seriously heavy hitters are not going to be too pleased with these nitwits at CMPO.

It's on Facebook and Twitter too:

Saha Pathanapibul Plc, Gaysorn Plaza, Siam Paragon Department Store, King Power Group, Dusit Thani Hotel, Siam Intercontinental Hotel, Riverside Hotel, Mitr Phol Group, Wangkanai Group, Boon Rawd Brewery Co, Thai Beverage Plc, Yakult (Thailand) Co, Neptune Co, Thai Namthip Co, Muang Thai Life Assurance Co, Hello Bangkok Co and Metro Machinery Group.

Look Tarit, your job is to uphold the law. These companies and people have either broken the law or they have not, your job is to apply the law, not worry about the effects on the Government, you are supposed to be a neutral employee of the people and which ever Government is in power. So, if they have broken the law then name them, if they have not then what the hell are you doing harassing them?

Boy, what article have you been reading. DSI made a mistake and jumped the gun. Abuse of power and a form of intimidation. Making false statement and slander. Very bad, no one in a democracy would believe in that. You of course create your own truth even though they are lies. Good job! You get the "Red Award" for the day.

Just to show the professional approach of CMPO on this:

""I curse businesses or anyone who supports the PDRC to oust the government," said the caretaker Labour Minister, predicting that those who back the protests financially could face their own financial problems..."

May I suggest instead, that you re-read Jim's post, just to make sure you really understood what he wrote? What did he actually, really create, truth or lies notwithstanding?

On a SEPARATE point (i.e. neither Jim nor his post is a part of this 'separate point'), just because someone reprimands, or doesn't like Suthep, the yellow shirts or the Democrats doesn't make him/her a 'Red'. And just because someone slags off the PTP, the red shirts, the (current) government etc. doesn't mean they are 'Yellow'. Or a Dem sympathiser. Or whatever. Not taking one side does not automatically mean allegiance to the other.
