Whats opened and whats not this weekend? Is it a strict no alcohol day or is it a bit lenient?

I am mainly concerned with Rawaii area. But if I have to travel I will go to Patong

.........and two more weekends at the end of March for the senate elections. Then the possible general election reruns. Not the best year to be a bar owner.

So just keep on drinking, one day tomorrow will not come.

That's an viable solution. A bit like cheating the debt collector.

Wouldn’t it be easier, more efficient, and less expensive to hold all elections…….say once or twice a year. Like the 1st Thursday of November and or May? Just a thought.

can't handle a bar closing? so sad..

after you have finished rescuing orphans, read what people are actually asking/saying!

Simply asking for info in order to plan.......

It's probably not a problem for most of the expats that read and contribute to this forum, and that includes me, but what about the many bar owners who lose their income during the busiest times and the thousands of tourists who like a drink in the evenings, and I am not just referring to the drunks but also the many people, including families, that just like to sit down at a pleasant bar at night with a beer or two.

I rarely go to bars these days but it still pisses me off that the Government can't use a little common sense and somehow bend the rules for major foreign tourist areas.

Yep...I know a couple of owners on Chalong Pier road. Haven't made rent for months...

Applying logic to Thai elections/politics is like dividing a number with zero.

l am not surprised. Its hardly the Mecca for big spenders and beautiful women. Just full of drunken yachties sniffing around for the cheapest beers. The ladies of the night there have busted up heads
