Small Interpretation Needed

I'm in the process of trying to organize a shipment of a couple of reasonably small items from here to Canada, but it seems they're not enough for a minimum amount required for sea shipment, but too heavy for taking on the airplane with me.

I might have to try breaking them up and paying excess luggage fees on the plane, but there are some services with Thai Post which could help.

The first is their EMS World (one price box) which would take a heavy package for 1400 baht. As long as the size is good, that seems quite reasonable. I can't seem to find specifics on the sizes available for that specific service - just general EMS boxes and cartons available.

But I've also found a service they call Logispost World, which might suggest the possibility of a larger and much heavier item. (I think the domestic version of this is what some of us have used for shipping motorbikes around Thailand.)

There is a link to their two page pdf which indicates prices - I think - but it's only there in Thai.

I don't need a full translation, just an interpretation of the information that suits my needs: from Thailand to Canada, very slow is fine, but I'd like to know size and weight restrictions as indicated by the tables.

If someone could help out with the info on that page for me, very much appreciated.

Edit: I should add that I have been into our local post office in the past, and they're very friendly and try to be helpful, but the English is very limited, so it's more than difficult to get accurate information.

On the link you gave for Logispost World, are you aware there is also an English language option on the RH side of the screen?

Anyway I just had a quick look, the drop down menu lists Canada as a destination and ask you to input the weight being sent, there are then listed various prices, I see nowhere dimensions of packages being asked for.

Sorry just had another look, International small package,

http://www.thailandpost.co.th/service-detail.php?sid=39&service=153

Clicking on the Parcel Post option gives an international weight limit of 30kgs but no dimensions.

On the above link, click on rates of service, on the drop down menu inout Canada, the following comes up,

It is confusing. I did note the English on most pages, except the pdf that is on the Logispost World page.

But the Rate of Service pdf is all in Thai, so I'm not sure if the 30 kg limit for packages applies here, which does seem to indicate differences at least for domestic, up to 200 kg.

The international parcel rate seems to indicate up to 30 kg for 1400 baht, but no sizes indicated. Perhaps one purchases an appropriate box at the post office?

It's that Thai pdf two page pdf with some tables in it that make me doubly confused, and thinking that perhaps there's a method similar to domestic big items that can be used internationally.

^^^^,

the pdf link doesnt open on my computer, sorry cant read it.

The Post Offices here (Bkk) are very good and yes boxes can bought in the larger post offices.

I have used them in the past to send things such as a wet suit, went to the post office and bought a box.

Various options were offered depending how quickly I wanted it sent, too be honest the prices werent expensive.

In the first photo, no mention of box sizes, only weights.

Price per kilogram, no mention made of weight less than 20 kgs.

Exceeds 20 but less than 40 price 260 baht per kilo.

exceeds 40 but less than 70 price 230 baht per kilo

exceeds 70 but less than 90 price 215 baht per kilo

exceeds 90 but less than 100 price 215 baht per kilo

exceeds 100 but less than 150 price 205 baht per kilo

exceeds 150 but less than 200 price 205 baht per kilo.

second photo,

exceeds 20 less than 40, price 720 baht per kilo

exceeds 40 less than 70, 660 per kilo

exceeds 70 less than 90, 630 per kilo

exceeds 90 less than 100, 540 per kilo

exceeds 100 less than 150, 540 per kilo

exceeds 150 less than 200, 540 per kilo.

That's really curious. Any idea what the difference is between the two pages? Same weights, but different prices per kilo over the indicated amount.
