Buy a bar-girl gold (yes I did, many years ago).

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

The title would have been more fun if it was ...

Things people I've done as a tourist, that I would never do now ... whistling.gif

... but probably wouldn't have lasted as long.

ps ... not a sexist remark as it can apply to both sexes ... biggrin.png

When I was a newbi tourist many eons ago I used to:

- Wai to people, tinking it was a good thing to immitate the local culture...

- getting tricked by the tuk-tuk drivers' temple/massage/diamond scams...

- paying too much for shit at markets, should've bargained like most people do...

- paying too much for bargirls...

- tipping the soapy and massage girls to much...

- overpaying the gogogirls for their services...

- barfining a coyote dancer, saw her next night at a disco freelancing...

- barfining a coyote dancer, saw her next night at a disco freelancing ... wise after the fact ... couldn't help that one.

The oldies are the goodies Chris smile.png

Some years ago I told my wife about the 'sick buffalo' stories emanating from assorted BKK bars.

Some weeks later we're out for a walk when we came across the local 'buffalo chap' moving his charges to a fresh mud patch.

A conversation ensued after which my good lady suggested he would rent us a young buffalo, deliver same to Soi Cowboy and take it into a bar for 'Noi' (substitute random bar name) as a replacement from 'Peter' for the one that had died.

Never actually had the nerve to do it but I can imagine the looks smile.png

One for a Thai version of Candid Camera perhaps?

Tipping 1,000 Baht for a soapy massage.

Yes, David, they ARE good fun.

They USED TO be fun. The services isn't good anymore as before. That's why I don't think tipping too much is needed.

But get there early before the coach parties arrive, the smell can be off putting.
