Yes, you are not the usual farang-Thai couple in Thailand, but not rare in the West. Thai women generally look younger than their age, at least until 45 or 50. Most men are just wired genetically to be attracted to younger women, but not everyone. If she takes care of herself and still shows an interest in sex as she gets older, it will probably work out fine. But I tend to see many older Thai women lose interest in sex, not exercise, gain weight, etc. As long as you care for each other, and stay a good match for each other, it won't matter anyway.

I commend you ,and the ladies, on your research. Must have been exhausting.

Age is a state of mind. I have met very old young people and very young old people. I know a dude almost 90 and he still surfs, probably better then most of the couch muffins writing their slag here!

As the saying goes....you are only as old as the woman you feel.

WHY NOT?

Thai woman look often much better than western woman, even when there older. I too married an "older" woman, she still looks 18 biggrin.png And indeed, she gain the main income too. I praise her wishdom too, which you can't find at the younger women.

So... who is the lust object here? 555 wink.png

My wife is the same age as me but has far more money than me. Which is nice.

We're not all crinkly old giffers, living out our twilight years in some redshirt village of the damned, married to prostitutes young enough to be our granddaughters whilst being slowly bled dry of our meagre pensions by a bunch of barely educated peasants we like to call our 'family'!

Funny…:) But these same grandpas will be the first to proclaim its true love and she would love him even without the money.

The key is that you met her while you were both teachers. My wife is much younger than I but we have no children and have been married 22 years. Not the norm but appears to be working for yiou both.

Unheard of

Well my wifes 7 months older than me, I'm 38 and she's 39, and she saves more than me.

So now you have heard of it Kitsune.

No you're not odd, you'll fit in very well with most of our wives.

So you're quick to judge someone based on their employment and age? Maybe she sells yaba out back after class….you see, you're exactly the type of person who has really no clue about people. So my wife worked Soi 6 for 10 years and all her earnings went to charity….she wouldn't fit in because she was a professional prostitute? Who the hell wants to "fit in" with you anyways?

A few cynical comments above from posters with nothing to add.

Genuine topic of interest, i shall post pics later.

It's quite common for an older Thai lady to provide for a younger husband (toy boy).

I have a friend aged 35 who is married to a 55YO woman. She pays him 20k a month allowance.

You both look jai dee which is a good mix. You are a handsome man if I may so and the biggest problem you will get is all the other girls hitting on you and the struggle to stay monagamous here. Good luck to the both of you. Love grows slowly but once it has it's roots deep it is difficult to destroy.

My wife isn't older than me, but she's in her mid- forties and I'm really happy with her. She doesn't want kids, is financially well off, and she takes really good care of herself. It's a match made in heaven. Like an earlier poster said, most Thai women keep their looks well into middle age and a few beyond. Good luck to you. I hope you find happiness with your wife.

You will save a fortune on viagra in comparison to other TV members. That is why you are getting all the hostility.

Actually, one could argue precisely the opposite too...

Me 1st on the left, wife 2nd on the right.

We met while teaching here.

Newly wed mate of mine is leaving his job to move to wife's province because she has the better job. He is not fresh off the boat either.

So this might become a new trend? tongue.png

My wife is 5 years older than me. We are both still young though. Im mid 30s and she's late 30s so 5 years doesn't really mean that much. She is upper management at a large multinational company and makes about the same as me. Having been raised and educated in the UK and Switzerland I doubt she would be considered a "real" thai by most resident TV "expert" lurkers.

about this being a new trend. most men now in their 20s 30s 40s have a different mindset than most men who had that age 25-40 years ago. less rigid.
