I have a 32" TCL flat screen TV which I've connected computers to in the past (both notebook and desktop). At the moment I'm just an 'unsupported' message on the screen when I try to connect. I've tried playing with the resolution, but it doesn't help. Any suggestions?

It will be a scan rate problem, if you're running it as a second monitor right click on the desktop of the working screen, choose the TV from the list and pick the recommended resolution.

Agreed, it's the refresh rate. All my 32" TCL LED TV's (3 of them) use 1280x720 as the recommended resolution with 60Hz refresh rate. In Windows 7 you set the refresh rate by clicking on the advanced settings in the resolution screen. Under the monitor tab is a dropdown box to change the refresh rate.
