webfact Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 UDD To Launch 'Skin Suthep' ExhibitionBy Khaosod EnglishBANGKOK: -- The Redshirts are set to launch an exhibition to "expose" the alleged corruption and sordid background of anti-government protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban.Named "Thalok Nang Thaug" (Skin Thaug - a nickname of Mr. Suthep), the exhibition will be hosted at the 6th floor of Imperial Ladprao shopping mall from today onward, said Mr. Nattawut Saikua, a core leader of the United Front of Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD).The event will feature videos, photos, and information which would persuade the audience that Mr. Suthep is in fact a corrupt and hypocrite politician who exploits the mass in the name of anti-corruption crusades. Mr. Suthep's "personal background" will also be discussed in the exhibition, Mr. Nattawut, without giving specific examples."So the whistle mob can visit the expo and make up their mind whether to continue to support this person," Mr. Nattawut said.In the press conference, the UDD chariwoman, Ms. Thida Thawornseth, added that the Redshirts are due to mobilise for a mass rally in Ayutthaya province on 15 March. She said the UDD will encourage Redshirts in Bangkok and other regions to attend the rally, which was billed as the "drumming for war".However, Ms. Thida quickly stressed that the term refers to "political fights" in accordance with democratic principles, not a military struggle."The UDD merely has political aspirations," Ms. Thida said.Source: http://en.khaosod.co.th/detail.php?newsid=1394698884 -- Khaosod English 2014-03-13 1

Popular Post TVGerry Posted March 13, 2014 Popular Post Posted March 13, 2014 Do whatever you want dear red shirts. As long as it doesn't involve grenades, gasoline and matches. 18
saltandpepper Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 can't wait to see that! And the answer might be even more delightful!
Popular Post siampolee Posted March 13, 2014 Popular Post Posted March 13, 2014 In the press conference, the UDD chariwoman, Ms. Thida Thawornseth, added that the Redshirts are due to mobilise for a mass rally in Ayutthaya province on 15 March. "The UDD merely has political aspirations," Ms. Thida said. We see yet again the evil minded Thida denying statements promoting ''war'' by then stating it was to be a ''political fight,'' yet again trying to spin her rambling utterances out of shape like her rambling minds. One must ask, does she consume battery acid, vinegar and lemon juice prior to making both a public statement along with a public appearance thus projecting that delightful public farce face we all have come to love so well for its ( black) comedy value? Indeed this creature is an evil entity who espouses the delights of old fashioned communism, however if at any time the Shinwatra clan gained power Thida would most certainly do a vanishing trick, however such a vanishing trick would not be a voluntary one on her part. 7
Popular Post uty6543 Posted March 13, 2014 Popular Post Posted March 13, 2014 We know he is corrupt but he is not out to kill anyone and he wants to keep the country in one piece. So he would be an improvement on what we have now. 13
mrtoad Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 IMperial Lad Phrao, a favourite Thai Rouge gathering spot. Thankfully, will not be in that area for a few weeks. 1
Popular Post Nickymaster Posted March 13, 2014 Popular Post Posted March 13, 2014 Since the Ministry of Commerce is in charge of the rice fiasco, Deputy Commerce Minster Nattawut should spend time trying to find some money for the poor farmers. 5
ETatBKK Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I look forward to the 'Skin Thaksin' expo... they might need a larger venue for that one however don't forget his dear sister ! perhaps need couple of episodes . . . do I need to wait another 10 years ? 2
PatOngo Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I don't see much point in skinning anyone, the people of this country are so thick skinned, the hides could serve no practicle purpose.
GentlemanJim Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 The lawyers will be having Thursday night Champagne happy hour today (wonder if I can gatecrash), they will be thoroughly delighted at the undoubted surfeit of class actions that are going to be embedded in the 'skinSuthep' exhibition. It wont be long till we see the first lawyer in the top ten richest Thais list.
Popular Post rubl Posted March 13, 2014 Popular Post Posted March 13, 2014 ""The UDD merely has political aspirations," Ms. Thida said." Does this mean the UDD will finally take over Pheu Thai party or will they start their own political party? 3
EvilDrSomkid Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I'll go check it out tomorrow or Monday when I do my 90 day report.
rubl Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Caretaker Dept. Minister of Commerce Nattawut seems to know a lot. Last year the PM even send him on a tour to explain the 'rice price pledging scheme' to farmers. Which reminds me, will the exposition also include all data around the case brought to our attention by Pheu Thai spokesperson Prompong? I mean the use by Suthep of donated money to buy property. Surely Pheu Thai has had enough time to dig up some more 'evidence'? 1
Popular Post h90 Posted March 13, 2014 Popular Post Posted March 13, 2014 First of all, if they have more than just lies, why they don't tell the court about Sutheps corruption? Obviously there is no real evidence just rumors. And even if he would have been corrupt in the past, it wouldn't change any crimes the Shinawatras did. Beside he isn't in the government. That pointing the finger: But Suthep is also corrupt is childish..... 5
JoeThePoster Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 What a disappointment ! I was expecting handbags and shoes. 2
Curt1591 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I look forward to the 'Skin Thaksin' expo... they might need a larger venue for that one however don't forget his dear sister ! perhaps need couple of episodes . . . do I need to wait another 10 years ? If Suthep was able to actually prove corruption charges against Yingluck, we would be seeing his circus. I mean, really. During their last march to power, they were able to remove Samak Sundaravej from his position, based on a paycheck from his TV show. As corrupt as Yingluck is, Suthep can't prove anything more sinister?! 1
DirtFarmer Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 About time they threw the covers off this guy... this may be very interesting..look forward to it ....see what they got... 1
3NUMBAS Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 give us the complete sordid details ,and the murder allegations for which he hasnt appeared yet in court
mojorison Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Might be able to go on tour with it? Much like the Chinese ceramic soldiers exhibition? Just brainstorming...
DirtFarmer Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 give us the complete sordid details ,and the murder allegations for which he hasnt appeared yet in court You don't need me for that just check with the attorney Generals office 99 and counting I believe I will look into the other things that aren't public record ...yet and see if it is real or memorex
Popular Post djjamie Posted March 13, 2014 Popular Post Posted March 13, 2014 So while Suthep is promoting reform and all the principles of democracy moving into the future while the UDD will highlight his past. This was no doubt a bright idea from a UDD brainstorming session called "We will kill Suthep" with Ms Tida quickly stressing that the term refers to "Suthep was corrupt 10 years ago" Lets hope it is not 10 paces at dawn and then see who is the quickest at comparing their checkered past. Suthep would win hands down. The UDD have 24 leaders from within its ranks including Veerakan Musikhapong, Jatuporn Prompan and Nattawut Saikuar all up on terrorism charges and the cherry on the cake (this is my personal favorite bit) is that their fight for democracy is to ensure an accuses mass murderer, accused terrorist (that word comes up a lot when the UDD are being described) convicted criminal fugitive continues to run the country with the ultimate goal of him coming home free of corruption charges. Even Tida's history cannot be hidden behind the iron curtain. She fought to remove democracy from Thailand under the communist banner years ago. Well……with that said, some things haven't changed. She is still trying to remove democracy today under the UDD banner. What next UDD? "We will attack everyone in Bangkok with 10 million weapons if the NACC rule against us" meeting with Ms Tida quickly stressing that the term refers to "Suthep was still corrupt 5 years ago" They should set up the expo next door for Sathit Wongnongtoei who said the PDRC has obtained some very import information that related to what he called “shocking” corruption conspiracy in the country’s energy sector that has exploited the country’s wealth for over a decade. The Suthep expo should be aptly titled "Corruption in the past" With the Sathit expo titles "Corruption in the present and the future under PTP (but we won the election so its OK)" She is one dangerous fanatic. 3
Popular Post sweatalot Posted March 13, 2014 Popular Post Posted March 13, 2014 We know he is corrupt but he is not out to kill anyone and he wants to keep the country in one piece. So he would be an improvement on what we have now. We know he might have been corrupt. We don't know if he is still. I do not care so much ... because he is not out to kill anyone and he wants to keep the country in one piece. Following his campaign the politicians that come after the present government would be an improvement on what we have now. (he said he is not interested in being a government member again) He woke up the political understanding and power of the people. 10 minus points 100 plus points 3
fstarbkk Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 "However, Ms. Thida quickly stressed that the term refers to "political fights" in accordance with democratic principles, not a military struggle." I wonder if that's what she tells her own rabit lot about the meaning of "the drumming of war". As for the unmasking of Suthep by these fine upstanding citizens, as the corrupt monster he really is, all that comes to mind is: People in glass houses...
Bangmod Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Instead of wasting time and money, they better used the effort to solve the problems in the country. Besides Central Lad Prao is merely RED land shopping mall, so most visitors of the exhibit will got to know more about Suthep, and might see he's not as evil as the Government, and they might switch sides. Great free promotion for the anti-government…... 1

Great free promotion for the anti-government…... I think you're right - If the red visitors to this exibit do a side-by-side comparison between Suthep and their own Dear Leader, they have a compelling reason to switch to the PDRC. 1
WhizBang Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Might want to hold a 'Skin Thaksin' expo too. Could be quite revealing.
Popular Post kimamey Posted March 13, 2014 Popular Post Posted March 13, 2014 Not a bad idea I suppose and at least it's better than trying to deny the accusations of corruption against the PTP. However they need to remember that although Suthep has been the rallying point for the protests he's not regarded as the answer to the problems by everyone who's anti government. This is much bigger than just Suthep. 4
h90 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I look forward to the 'Skin Thaksin' expo... they might need a larger venue for that one however Sure the red shirts will show a Skin Thaksin expo, because they don't like double standards, or?
