Recently I have seen many adverts on the internet by the following company offering very high guaranteed returns on deposits, see:

http://amicusinvest.com/

The company says it has a postal address in Switzerland but then says "it does not have an office in Switzerland"

I notice the company says it is incorporated in Liberia.

But a company with a similar name last filed accounts in 2004,had a net worth of minus 235 pounds , with a registered office which appears to be at a residential address in Oxford, England. This company may of course be unconnected with the one offering high rates.

However surely the high interest rates being offered are ludicrous and far too good to be true.....

Am i right or not?

It's sure interesting doing research and getting to the bottom of companies like this.

From their website, all the funds they receive from both their regular savings plan or single saving plan are investing in their Amicus Global Income Fund.

I can't find any information on this fund from 3rd party sources, but from their own website they have a very limited description that says it is invested in European Consumer Credit 33%, Global Equity ETF's 43%, Fixed Income and Bond ETF's 18%, and some cash, although the exact ETF's are not listed.

They go on to say that 2013 returns on those investments were so high, that they can guarantee a 6% or greater rate of return over the next 5 years, even though a large part of the fund is invested in equity and consumer credit!

Invest at your own risk!

First, have a look where are they located? in the Reublic of Marshall..! somewhere in the pacific ocean,

I ever experienced some name of a company that located in a carabean island,

Also, when you just surf their page, they Automatically start to chat with u, and a news-letter box pop up asking u to insert ur email, such behaviour will never and ever be followed by a trusted company to a such hunting customers,

be careful ...

Don't even think about it,they are preying on greed and stupidity,

the trouble is these people always seem to find somebody to con.

"...the trouble is these people always seem to find somebody to con."

It does beggar belief, but obviously they do find people willing to hand over their money ... and people who feel the need to ask strangers on a message board if the offer could be realistic. But then April Fool's Day is coming. Once again there should be ample proof of the gullibility of the Thai Visa membership, just as there is year after year after year.

Incorporated in Liberia.........don't think I would place any hard earned funds in a company that had such a link.

Was based in Monrovia during 1979/80 and, whilst enjoying the nightlife, would not, even at that time, have considered it as a place that offered the possibility of legal redress if things go wrong.

Subsequent events would place it even lower on any list of countries to trust with your savings.
