Today my wife and I went to Lat Phrao for my extension of stay. We arrived there at 10am, official opening is 10.30am, but the ticket counters were already opened.

There was a very long queue down on all the way to the office on the 5th floor of Imperial World Lat Phrao - but, as we soon realized, folks were queueing for the 90 days report. So, don't be shocked and proceed to the ticket counter L passing the queueing people. There, we were friendly greeted and get 3 forms and a ticket.

One of the forms was a statement, that my wife guarantees, that I'm still in Thailand, one to confirm that the THB 400'000 were for 2 month on a Thai bank account and the last one to confirm, that I'll follow the Thai laws - so far the same as last year at Chaeng Watthana.

After filling out and waiting time for about 50min, we were called and they checked my paperwork. This was done - without needing the second copies - within 10min. So, everything seemed to be all right and he clipped the whole paperwork together with the THB 1'900 and gave us a ticket for the counter A5, where they finally check the papers twice more and hand out the stamped passport.

After another 50min waiting time - there were 12 people in the queue - everything was successfully checked and 2 hours after arriving, we left the place.

As another member in the forum wrote, the easiest way driving your on car to get to the Immigration at Imperial World Lat Phrao is to turn left at Lat Phrao Road Soi 83 and than drive up on the 5th floor of the parking.

Nice to hear that all went well. Mission accomplished without the drama that some people seem to generate. Apparently the system works for those who know what is required and are properly prepared.

rolleyes.gif Went there Wednesday to get a exit re-entry permit.

Got there about 1130, left with permit about 1:30 afternoon.

Went through queue process, lot's of people standing in queue, but avoided them. Walked right up to re-entry permit sign and got forms from immigration there.

They have a copy machine (actually 2 locations for copy machines) there. Cost is 3 Baht for each copy. I gave him 10 Baht and told him just keep the change (joke).

The girls handing out queue tickets will help you fill out the forms if you need it.

They know what they are doing and can fill out that form faster than most of the applicants can.

I got queue number 058 and when I went to the re-entry window they were just calling number 030. So I had to wait to turn in my paperwork until they called 058. A little over one hour wait.

After I turned in my paperwork and got my receipt for the fee I had to wait another hour or so until they called my number again until they dug out my passport with new re-entry permit in it.

So about 2 hours for the whole process.

Place was VERY crowded, but considering the crowd and that only 3 windows were doing all the work, I really can't complain abut the service.

A bit of a hassle, but mainly due to the crowd milling around in a small confined area.

the reason this place appears crowded is that this is the place that immigrant workers

do their paperwork, there is a 90 day report window on the right hand side, i got my ticket and was forth in the queue,in and out in 30 minutes, first time i went i saw all these people out in the hallways, but thet were immingrant workers, totally different to my/our needs

Closing this topic to prevent it being brought up again. Only 90 reports can be done at Lad Phrao since CW reopened in June of last year.
