bkkjames
Those stickers basically mean "Hey I am so cool, in fact check out my sticker saving the babe if you don't believe me"
Donnie Brasco
Yes t-shirts with english texts can be funny and i bet they don't know what they are wearing. Also playboy magazine i have never seen in Thailand, i guess it is not allowed here with the nude poster. I have never seen playboy brand clothing in Europe or anywhere. Must be a Thailand only then. Has anyone seen or does anyone remember seeing the incredible "Eat your OWN sp*rm" T-shirts that were quite popular with feminist minded Uni gals three or four years ago here in Bkk ? Initially launched as an anti-porn slogan, the T-shirt soon became quite fashionable with late teen to twenties women of all stripes. Haven't seen any lately. Then there was the cartoon of some big dog smiling after he'd eaten a cat. The poor puss's tail was dangling prominently from the dog's self-satisfied grin. Popular with young women as well. (could have been Garfield, but still) "Sometimes, 'fuggedabowdit' just means fuggedabowdit. . . . "
namdocmai
I never saw the yellow mechanicstickers. The lightgreen plastic bottle hanging on the car is also fashion. Also motortaxi booths are decorated with them. What do those green bottles mean?
SpokaneAl
I never saw the yellow mechanicstickers. The lightgreen plastic bottle hanging on the car is also fashion. Also motortaxi booths are decorated with them. What do those green bottles mean? Those are empty Mountain Dew bottles. I have asked several family members about them. I have yet to find anyone who enjoys the taste of the stuff but they do like the looks of the plastic bottles. impulse
I'm still waiting to see this one in Thailand- which has, I'm afraid, swept large parts of the US south.
art vandelay
i've asked several thai's if they know what the playboy logo is... they dont. thai's are pretty ignorant of contemporary culture from other countries. they see a band wagon and jump on. some girls display their ignorance by having a playboy tattoo which is particularly sad and depressing

arunsakda
Al Pacino as "Serpico" often gets questions from new arrivals. Thanks. I've been wondering for 3 years whether that's a poor image of Che, or Eric Clapton back when he was on on drugs. Saw a worker with a Serpico T-shirt today. Must have. MMarlow
Despite Thailand's supposed strict control on guns, look at the number of Thais that were clothing with Glock, Smith and Wesson, Ruger, Charter, etc. logos on them One could argue that the clothes are manufactured here for export and a certain amount fell off the truck but really, Thais like to advertise what they can't have What does the logo on a shirt have to do with Thailand's gun laws? Thais can get guns legally if they want to.
EvilDrSomkid
Mrs.Evil likes wearing "certain" Playboy clothes . Btw, its not just Serpico, but also Sly Stallone as Cobra is very popular on trucks.
