Even if the farmers finally get paid from the rice scam, it's questionable if they'll vote for her, that is except for a few who are dumb as rocks.

The Question is , whether the good lady PM wishes to continue to do the dirty work for her brother, I personally think that PM Yingluck is too nice a person to continue, the lady was given a task that turned into a nightmare (Thaskin another miss -calculation) , her personal reputation was one of the highest till this little saga, before PM Yingluck completely destroys her good name or what is left of it and tells her brother to go take a jump and go's back to what she knows best, running her own business , because as a PM you sure don't know how to run a country and neither dose your brother.bah.gif

I don't think her reputation was very high when she left AIS.

She has always worked for her brother, the boss. No evidence she knows how to run anything.

What makes you think she is a nice person? An actress sometimes caught out when she forgets the cameras are still running. The crocodile tears. The lies. The cheating. She even pushed her son in front of other children who had been chosen to walk out with Chelsea FC.

Just another greedy selfish self centered elite member of the ruling class, quite willing to abuse power while she has the chance, and determined to cling on to that power regardless of the consequences for anyone else.

Her family's wealth has increased 450% since she took office. Many farmers are starving, in deep debt and even suicidal. She vowed to pay then several weeks ago, Another lie told without a second thought or any remorse. No attempt to open the books, and show where the money has really gone.

Once again. If whatever this woman from the Sae Khun clan (their real chinese name) does, would be for peace justice and prosperity of the country she would step aside. Then Suthep could also step aside. A proper constitution with a just election system could be put in place and THEN after all this time there could be elections. Preferably closely monitored by the UN, just for once. After whats been done to the farmers, the 85% who would die for His Majesty the King and the normal people who need to make a living, shopping constantly more expensive food, I know that there ll be a proper majority to form a government without the thai rak thai, oh no, phue thai or whatever new name they have to come up with to make their illegal party legal over and over again.

An election where the most popular party is blocked from standing is a rigged election. An election where you bar the most popular candidate is a rigged election. A rigged election fools no-one and has no democratic validity, and is never accepted by the majority.

The farmers back Yingluk, very few are fooled by Suthep. His farmers march attracted about 2000, and those tractors went back on low loaders. So Suthep does not command a farmer army.

Thailand is a democracy, do not neglect democracy, because it's a system that enables the country to function. I don't remember where I heard those words, but they are wise are they not?

What do you propose instead of a democracy? You Dems could propose that as your plan at the next election and see if Thai people back it!

Not going to happen. She will not continue. Yingluck is soiled and has been exposed with so many flaws in her ability achieve the most simple tasks. Not all her fault, however, her ineptitude has brought this country to the position it is in today.

she did stand for the cancelled election and the reds won at polling stations, so it looks like she will be standing and has almost a certain chance to win.

as to "reducing political frictions" she was outstanding in dealing with the street mob, offering dialogue numeral times, calling for a new election

which planet are you on. The election was never declared because it was never finalised, the EC did not announce a winner did they!

how will she stand when the NACC charge her with mismanagement and corruption over the rice scam!

How many times did she refuse to speak with suthep? I doubt she could hold her own in any debate, she is not a politician has no political knowledge, dummies don't have brains do they?

No she won the election. The EC did release the result inadvertently as part of their usual stats, Democrats got 16.69% "Vote No" and Yingluk got around 75% of the vote. Apparently she even won seats from BJP. Also notice that Suthep succeeded in getting the vote below the 20% limit needed to annul the seat in only one seat.

She was already PM from the last election and still had 2 years to rule before Suthep forced an early election via his coup attempt aswell of course.

She's not charged with "mismanagment and corruption", indeed, they haven't found any corruption, they're trying for a negligence charge in stopping the corruption they failed to find.

"How many times did she refuse to speak with suthep?" That's up to her, she's the Prime Minister of Thailand, Suthep is just a failed coup plotter.

"she is not a politician has no political knowledge" She's the elected Prime Minister of Thailand, and the world leaders rallied around her.

WOW - It was a one horse race (according to the PTP supporters on TVF, not me) and they still only managed 75% of the vote. Kim Jon in North Korea was a one horse race too and he got 100% of the vote. You are essentially ratifying that Kim Jon is more popular than yingluck.

Thnaks for backing up my argument that the last election showed overwhelmingly that the PTP are a spent force.

I suspect you're a DEM ( I would say yellow but I would be living 5 years in the past) in disguise sunshine…Well done. wink.png

Yep, no corruption. A country with a corruption index figure higher than the rice scheme debt and this corruption encompasses every single scheme and project and permeates every crack in Thai society up to and including paying teachers to get your kids into good public schools, BUT, hold the press…….NOT the rice scheme…The only scheme in Thai history that is absolutely 100% free of corruption and you believe it…Seriously you believe it..I support the DEM's and I know there schemes have corruption in them..

Come on...

Now back to the news.

Actually it was a 50+ race with the major opposition party calling for the no vote.

"and they still only managed 75% of the vote. Kim Jon in North Korea was a one horse race too and he got 100% of the vote"

And they got 16.69% Vote no. But then it wasn't a one horse race was it!

Sure there's corruption, our votes were blocked down here in the South, I seriously doubt they ever counted the ballots fairly down here if its so easy to stop the vote.

Oh yeah, the woman is outstanding - no other words for her performance... hang on... except for the bankrupt and corrupt rice-pledging scheme, the failed attempt at getting amnesty for her brother by pardoning every rich hooligan who ever committed a crime in the last 16 years, failing to pass the 2.2 trillion baht infrastructure and pocket-lining scheme, a woman's assistance fund (the initiative most dear to her heart) that is rife with cronyism and corruption... and the offers of dialogue were basically, "stop what you're doing so we can go on ignoring the opposition and continue behaving like dictators..."

Oh yes, a fine record, and such a great speaker and debater.

She was awe inspiring saying let us have an election then we will be democratic. Just thrilling to hear such wisdom from a corrupt Shinawatra. Sent shivers all the way down my spine. Such Wisdom from so one so young and with no political experience.cheesy.gif

Or did she just get some one to post it on Facebook for her. She could run again and get in the Gunnies book of records as the first person to ever run for leadership in a country entirely on Facebook. I noticed the article was taken from her Facebook account.

Edit

I see the previous poster forgot to mention the wonderful job she did adding more traffic to the nations crowded roads by promising tax rebates that are as sure a deal as the farmers getting paid there money.

I am sure the farmers will eventually receive it but by that time they will have paid that much in interest on their loans.sad.png

The amnesty was for Abhisit and Suthep too, don't forget her election platform was reconcilliation, which sadly meant they'd escape the murder charge too.

The rice pledge scheme, your lot hate it, you make all sorts of lies about it, but the farmers don't back you.

The 2.2 trillion infrastructure bill was killed by a democrat legal challenge to it. We want high speed trains!

The womans assistence scheme, go ahead campaign against it...dumb electorally.

Ignoring the opposition? Your guy ignores the voters! You want people to pay attention to you? Why should they?

I agree with londonthai, she's less alpha-male more calm than the ranting idiots in the opposition.

She won.

Didn't count the ballot fairly heay? Is that your belief? Really? Any facts to back that up? Well my facts override your beliefs. Pretty official heay…..Again that is a rhetorical question….I already know the answer mate…Do you have some facts to back up your claim? Nope?

Unsubstantiated claims…The PTP weapon of choice…Facts…Their greatest enemy...

You mean the popular tax rebate if you bought your first car and first condo together? The one needed to stimulate the economy after Abhisit? The one popular enough to be oversubscribed?

Facebook page campaign... yeh modern, and? You do realize you're trying to put in an 81 year old man who was last in power before the WWW was created, and hasn't campaigned at all for any vote, even on Facebook?

Maybe you shouldn't go into politics, it's not really your forte.

She won, she got about 75%, the No Vote got <17%, the other parties got the remainder.

Our votes = mine, and my wifes, the party list vote was blocked down here in the south, we were not allowed to vote. The town hall was sealed, but not by protestors, there were none around.

(You didn't include your vote count picture). I don't trust the vote down here now, if its so corrupt you can block a vote without protestors, then how can I trust the election at all? Blocking a poll completely is the most blatant form of election rigging.

Of all the narratives in recent days, this is undoubtedly the silliest. Of course she wants to contest the election. She already has expressed willingness to contest an election for a second term. It is no longer theoretical. She and Chalerm and Surapong were absolutely delighted with that election. Chalerm insisted that Pheu Thai got 300 seats in parliament - his " official " count - more than the 265 seats they got the last time. Yes, it was all sugar and cream back them. Surapong had initiated a new list of countries who were beyond excitement. Seven weeks later, no one sits in parliament, even Chalerm. Yingluck has even forgotten what her office looks like. She's back though - on facebook. Democracy is alive and well on her facebook page. But one notable, shining thing had changed. She now openly acknowledges that her premiership will rest with the ruling of the NACC - and by inference a Senate vote that follows it if such an action were recommended. And that is the very first time she's done that.

And

here are the problems with your contributions, Mr Scamper:

you hate the left-leaning parties in Thailand (or anywhere else);

and

you begin too many of your final sentences with the word "and".

and

I could mention other problems associated with your obsessive love of the "Democrats", but won't.

If you really have to post please be honest and truthful

Approx fugures

Only 20 million people turned out to vote

of those 12 million were no votes or spoiled

only 8 million voters actually voted for a candidate and those actual votes have not been officially released - it is strongly suspected that most of the actual votes went to parties other than PTP

PTP won Nothing, in fact it is pretty obvious that most of the Thai people are not ready for an election - they want reforms and change first

If PTP would think they won a landslide victory in the last election they would be shouting from the rooftops to have the results released. They don't so I believe they know the results were not favourable to them.

Exactly.

She said no, no, no three years ago, right up just until a few weeks before the election when she changed and said yes.

It comes part and parcel with being a clone and doing what you are told.

Just RUN AWAY instead puppet; you're good at (only) that ! Oh yeah, thats right, she is always in hiding and running from responsibility anyway..... Just keep running.

1. She doesn't use facebook- thats one of her handlers or someone she handles. She is incompetent in Thai and English & some facebook site has no credibility. Is that what the so-called PM is reduced to is facebook posts and a family handler dictating things via skype? The world has never seen such a set of monkeys in such a banana republic.

2. She never addresses anything directly, just says some general nonsense statement about 'be peaceful, respect the law, me woman-woman run Thailand can' etc.

3. The disgraceful toddler brained girl has been in hiding in ways that leaders don't. Goodbye soon. Happy hiding (and shopping with the graft acquired from other peoples' money).

Well, if we could have a look into her bank account, we would ask ourself if she is stupid or if maybe we are stupid....I guess she makes more in a day than we together in a year....

what does being stupid or not have to do with her bank account when she was given that money?

Wealth is not necessarily a sign of intelligence and / or education. Having the right family name is.

Such unintelligent to relate your bankroll to your foolishness. More money would not take it away lol.
