lab1bob
Dear UbonJoe, Based on the above posts/replies is my understanding correct that it would be possible to stay here for 1 year (someone mentioned 15 months?) on the basis of non-o based on marriage but WITHOUT actually applying for the extension and doing 90 day border runs? (effectively having 12 months to sort out the extension). Best regards,

Best regards, You could get a ,multiple entry non-o visa based upon marriage in Savannakhet (not possible in Vientiane) that would give you unlimited 90 day entries for a year. By doing an entry just before the visa expires you can get almost 15 months of total stay from the visa. You could apply for the one year extension during the last 30 days of any of the 90 day entries from the visa.
