Can anyone suggest or post a map of Chiang Mai, showing the names of the various districts which property folk/Estate agents use?

Looking for a place to rent, and not knowing areas apart from Phruek, makes it difficult.

Google Earth has all the streets, but not what I need.

Thanks in advance.

Interesting - looks like the name on this map for Pa Daet district is Tesco Lotus.

It seems that district names are not used consistently on this map.

Wikimapia has many of the areas in and around Chiang Mai delineated, although not all. This could be helpful: http://wikimapia.org/#lang=en&lat=18.773228&lon=98.988018&z=13&m=b

I can see the result you specify, Winnie but i cannot duplicate it. Regardless of what i enter into Google Maps i cannot get a dotted line delineation of sub-districts. May help if i could use Thai language but not able. Can you offer more info on exactly what you entered on the Goolge Maps search bar. Thnx.

^ Do you get the latest version of Google Maps? The old version may not support it, or indicate it differently.

ANyway if I type for example "Wat Ket District, Chiang Mai, Thailand" I get the dotted line. (Even regular Google search shows it, and shades the area)

EDIT: I tried it on an older Google Maps version (by using plain Firefox) and it still shows the area, just a gray dotted line.

Interesting when compared to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Amphoe_Chiang_Mai.svg , which shows 25 Amphoe . Not sure which is correct or complete.

I'm using Chrome at present, as the pirated Windows which came with my new computer doesn't want to run Firefox.

I'm using Google Earth, and also Google Maps.

Yes Jobin, it's a huge area of forest. Be a nice place to live on the lower slopes, amongst the trees.

The list above are the 16 districts (Tambon) in Amphoe Muang Chiang Mai (Chiang Mai city and suburbs) the map shows the different Amphoe within Chiang Mai Province.

There is a useful interactive map here that might help the OP http://buy-chiangmai-property.com/properties/chiangmai-city-districts-map/

Can understand the dilemma as I've never found a good map of the tambons. Here is what I have (don't remember what website I ripped it from) and it's helpful to me although I can read the Thai (however, it doesn't show you any specific street delineations).
