I have recently seen this mango tree that bares fruits about oh, I'd say 1/5-1/10th the size of the normal mangos. my wife says it's (kinda obvious nomenclature anyway) that it is called มะม่วง น้อย (mamuang Noi) but what I am wondering is: is this a different species/varietal of mango? and if so, does anyone know the latin scientific name i.e. genus and species?? They are really tasty more so than the normal sized ones I think, but I have only seen it very rarely, this time was at a beautiful temple in Chiang Khan next to the Bodhi tree...
