Pheu Thai, Thaksin says removal of nine ministers unfair

BANGKOK: -- The Pheu Thai Party Thursday kept up it criticism of the Constitutional Court's decision on Wednesday to dismiss caretaker prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra as well as nine Cabinet members, saying it was wrong to ensnare other ministers.

Party executives and key members including Noppadon Pattama, legal adviser to fugitive former premier Thaksin Shinawatra, said the verdict was unfair.

Noppadon quoted Thaksin's comment that the legal complaint was directed only at Yingluck, so the court should not have broadened their consideration to the other Cabinet members. The ministers had also deserved more chances to defend themselves.

" Noppadon quoted Thaksin's comment that the legal complaint was directed only at Yingluck, so the court should not have broadened their consideration to the other Cabinet members. "

And that's why Thaksin isn't a lawyer, and Noppadon shouldn't be. The decision to transfer had to be approved by the cabinet. Therefore, they have to stand behind that decision. Yingluck in her testimony in fact said that she shared responsibility with the cabinet. The court agreed.

to be fair she did say she would die on the battlefield...but being a shin she werent going down on her own (metaphoricly speaking)typo..

Who is this Thaksin person?

He is actually a myth person, has the brains of a nat, has the feet of elephant and the wings of a red parrot , he nests these days in HK / China , he is an endangered myth, in that if some people find him , he will become extinct

What reforms? What reforms? No one is going to change the dice. It is just a power struggle.

Reforms? What rubbish. No one can make reforms because it would close the door on their own people.

So he doesn't give a shit about his sister/daughter, but cares about the power ministers removed who were his only back up?

Who the hell is he anyway, to be even trying to interfere at this stage.

The court did not need to hear the defences of the Ministers - a very reliable and honest witness said that it was a cabinet decision. They should be showing the former PM more respect than to question her evidence.

Loved that tweet yesterday when the Court summed up she had fingered the rest....can see why she was never allowed to speak for herself during her term as the criminals puppet.

fingered the rest...wow she does a sideline in prostate examinations..shes not totally useless then...must have learnt that in kentucky then

Of course its unfair, dirty attempts at power grabs usually are.

Wall St Journal, BBC, international diplomats, international SE Asian academics, countless independent analysts domestically and abroad pretty much agree that its unfair.

Just a minority of noisy yellow shirt anti-democratic Thaksin hating people domestically are under the illusion that it was somehow a "neutral" decision, but they live in their own world surrounded by a yellow bubble.

Looks like you are taking the decision pretty hard, too bad. Man up choke down that bad taste in your mouth and live with it.

Wake up. The money spent to subsidize private schools -- private schools -- is a drop in the bucket compared to rice pledging.

Duh.

I sense a few acidic mouths around here, all in frenzy cos they do not know how to respond without posting violent put downs.

However, forgive them, for they know not what to do... nor do they know <deleted> to do next! cheesy.gif

Responding with violence is the only red way, inculcated with cries and tears displayed in written violent ways too ! clap2.gif

Thank God the wait is over!

I was sitting here with baited breath, waiting for "Dear Fugitive" to give his ten cents' worth...

some live in their own world surrounded by a red bubble it would seem.

The WSJ seems a bit biased but mostly ignoring aspects and hamering on the 'we needs elections part'. I agree with the US State Department's spokesperson Jen Psaki who said "Thai people can choose political leadership they deserve". Never knew those people had a sense of humour.

As for the BBL, diplomats and so, well, keep it coming old chap.

It's just a noisy minority who keep up the judicial coup parts. Even Pheu Thai and Thaksin's lawyer only said it was unfair.
