"Do not forsake me, oh my tee rak." Could we be heading for Thailand's 'High Noon'...?

Well actually no, it couldn't. High Noon is twelve o'clock and everyone here will have gone for lunch.

Tezza who is this we you keep referring to?

Do you actually have a vote yes or no? I don't believe you do, so stop with this we crap, this is for the Thais to sort themselves and being married to a a Thai girl doesn't give you any rights to vote either so please stop referring yourself as if you actually have a say in what's going on.

If however you have PR status and have a right to vote that is fine but I don't believe you have this wink.png

As you provided no link, I have no idea what posting you are refering to

As per voting we are a family and vote as a family

and we as a family sit and talk about all things before a decision is made

I know this is strange to you as under Thaskin law, only he makes the decision and then every one else must agree

Suthep and Jatuporn exchanging blows. Bad for Thailand.

Neither thinks of 'the people'.

Time for elected (no matter how crooked those elections were) people, both government and opposition, to sit down and find a way out.

Abhisit graciously has said not to join new elections, to take the sting out of things. If the Shins do the same. A business government agreed upon by BOTH sides can be established. Change some laws and get on with elections that all will abide by.

Thailand needs a way out. Be responsible.

we all want new elections, but they have to be democratic and constitutional

No 1) we need freedom of speech by all parties in all areas

No 2) Section 102 Enforced

A person under any of the following prohibitions shall have no right to be a candidate in an election of members of the House of Representatives:

(6) having been expelled, dismissed or removed from the official service, a State agency or a State enterprise on the ground of dishonest performance of duties or corruption;

3) All parties yellow and red to abide by the rule of law

Ah come on Tezz, if section 102 was enforced about three quarters of PT would be out on their ear.

But seriously, section 102 needs to be expanded to cover anyone with a criminal conviction.

And anyone on bail or waiting for a criminal case to be heard against them should be suspended until such time they are found not guilty, if guilty the above applies.

That would cover the other quarter of PT, many of the smaller parties and a few of the Dems.

Then and only then could this country get a Government that would be suitable for role models for the kids.

so this is your interpretation of the Law

it can not be used because

"three quarters of PT would be out on their ear."

Only on TVF does a law only need to be enforced if it is accepted by the people who break it

Do not do the crime if your not ready to do the time, is a simple answer

and now you want people on bail to face the same

so not innocent till found guilty has no place in you home

if this LAW is upheld then we both agree

Then and only then could this country get a Government that would be suitable for role models for the kids.

Suthep is the biggest hypocrite on this planet because of all people should be aware of the legal validity of the caretaker government.

He and his Democrat Party conveniently used to the brief period of Chavarat Charnvirakul's caretaker role after Somchai Wongsawat was oustedbah.gifbah.gifbah.gifbah.gifbah.gifbah.gif

and promising the Thai people all the things that they would do and then ripping them off

Is called What ?

How about we just say we need new reforms and start a new

would that satisfy you ?

Somchai. Why, that must be Thaksin's and Yingluck's bother-in-law. That would put Suthep somewhere down around 4th on the list at least. tongue.png.pagespeed.ce.JwCxzAWj6x.png

Lets see the full extent of the proposed reforms now (with no room to add any more or change them later), let's see a full list of the members of the proposed People's Council with their backgrounds and let's have a firm date for the next general election now......huh.png

Except Kim Jong Un is in complete control, though, maybe Suthep is thinking of Kim Jong Un as his neutral PM !!

Should start another protest group, Kim Jong Un for PM (KJ Upm)!!

The only language the red shirts know we get what we want or we will kill you.

To both sides how about lets talk and find a solution that we all can live with.

The red-shirt's stance isn't all that different from the PDRC's:

"The people hope there will be a new prime minister of the people by Monday. If not, we will have no choice but to take action by ourselves. We can't allow the country to continue like this anymore," Suthep said.

Basically, both say "my way or the highway".

Neither Jatuporn nor Suthep is capable of reaching an agreement or have the mandate to do so.

If you start comparing Fat Boy Kim to Jatta the Hutt you'll be on a very slippery slope..........

Thaksin could pull the plug on the stand off at any time by retreating his family from politics.

He could also ask Suthep and his clan to do the same for the greater good.

The level of trust between both sides is so low, not sure this could actually be brokered.

Even if it does, there's really no way to enforce it, what with people sending cronies and pulling strings from the back.

Most likely both will break their promise first chance or excuse they get.

I don't have voting rights in Thailand, and I do find the family-votes-as-whole thing bizarre, not to say somewhat undemocratic.

Nevertheless, I would risk campaigning for a party which will make one of its goals to fight posters copying and pasting the same passage in multiple topics.

I bet you any money you like that will still not satisfy Suthep.rolleyes.gif

Even if what you said happened, they will still be jumping up and down demanding electoral reform ( stretched out for a number of years in order to plunder the coffers further himself ) and probably in the meantime disenfranchise the rural voters

You might be right.

And you might be wrong.

Bear in mind that there has been no appetite thus far from either the army or Prem to support Suthep

are you for real

who do you want to bring it all on ?

The reform has to be put together by all parties, or you think only Suthep or PTP has the rights to make reforms

The basic idea starts with

No 1) we need freedom of speech by all parties in all areas

No 2) Section 102 Enforced

A person under any of the following prohibitions shall have no right to be a candidate in an election of members of the House of Representatives:

(6) having been expelled, dismissed or removed from the official service, a State agency or a State enterprise on the ground of dishonest performance of duties or corruption;

3) All parties yellow and red to abide by the rule of law

then each party to present his own ideas

then a full set to be made and put to the people

well that is the idea that I am led to believe

or do you believe it should all be done in back rooms like PTP always does

some would think that "We need to reform the way that many TVF members think "

So I guess this P.M he demands must be one of his people and only one of his people. How about the MAD MONK will he do?

The PDRC threatened to do "what is necessary" to bring about an appointed "people's government" if the caretaker administration does not resign within 72 hours.

Or what? Another final battle....<deleted> you moron

The only way it can be a "Peoples Government" is if the "PEOPLE" elect the government other than that it will simply be an appointed "SUTHEP" Government.

or a Shinawatra paid bribed threatened and shot government that can't pay its own rice schemes ..........coffee1.gif

Family voting ? That's a new concept on me considering it's supposed to be one man one vote !!

You don't have a vote personally and that's the point I'm getting at what you're doing is influencing others to vote the same ideology as your self no different than vote buying really .

My wife and her family couldn't care less about the politics that's going on and I personally would never dream of interfering in their political views it's just like religion you keep these things personal and don't push these views on anyone else.

I respect that people want a change but at the same time I respect that people also want to vote first to make these changes who is right and who is wrong? They both have valid points .

If you worked for a company that was being involved in a hostile takeover and were losing your job, would you still be cooperative to the incoming directors etc? The answe is simple no you wouldn't and you'd possible feel quite aggrieved about it as well?

Put yourself in the position if the Thais who are literally quite fed up with all the crap and who want things to get back to normal just for a moment and some people need to quit using Thaksin as an excuse many people in the red villages couldn't stand the guy especially onthe village I live where they said he was stealing from Buddha but that didn't stop them from voting PTP/UDD and that is their choice, what gives us farangs the right to tell them any different? Just because were married to Thais still doesn't give us that right.

Is Suthep and his peoples council the answer? Well the international community don't think so and whoever is in charge still needs to maintain diplomatic relations with the international community and as it stands right now they have been very condemning of sutheps methods and the courts procedures etc.

Life goes on all over Thailand as if nothing has changed its Bangkok that has had the problems and I'm sure it's the same in your village too.

A lot of words

but I have no idea what your trying to say

but if its good for you, then we are bother happy

wishing you and you family the best in what you want

Love 1012 can you not post anything without the bigoted derogatory comments?

Do you happen to be less well endowed than the rest of the population? As you have a real nasty bigoted attitude going on here!!

As for the comments all over about free speech , there never has been and never will be the true meaning of free speach as long as LM laws apply even TVF doesn't allow free speech otherwise there wouldn't be do many banned posters re registering. Free speech isn't free at all ;)
