Complaint filed against PDRC secretary general

BANGKOK: -- Pheu Thai Party on Monday complained with the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) against rally leader Suthep Thaugsuban, who it claims, has violated royal prerogative and committed treason.

DSI chief Tarith Pengdith, in his capacity as secretary of the Centre of Administration for Peace and Order (CAPO) received the complaint from party spokesman Prompong Nopparit who asked Tarith to consider it as a special case.

Tarit told reporters that he had accepted the case for consideration because Suthep, as secretary general of People's Democratic Reform Committee, upgraded the protests on May 9 and led protesters to seize major free-to-air television stations. He was also planning to set up his office in the Government House.

Suthep also demanded that the Senate Speaker and the presidents of the Supreme, Administrative and Constitutional Courts nominate a neutral premier for royal approval in line with the Constitution's article 7.

Except the court just made a wrong move by removing Yingluck for THIS specific action and is seen by the World as a juridic Coup.

Every democratic country in the world appoint people on their side for key administration position : US do this, UK do this, France do this....

So the court should have based their action on the rice scheme or other things than this. It just show that the court is far from neutral.

Suthep IS a lunatic and work for Bangkok people Elite and middle class only.

Now don't get me wrong : Thaksin clan is clearly a corrupted one but each time one of them was elected, the democrat, yellow,.... found a way to impeach them.

This is not democratic and this will lead to far more gap between Shinawatra and Suthep fan.

Here we go with yet another set of ever more incredulous charges delivered by Mr. Integrity - Prompong - and received by Mrs. Integrity - Tarit. Yes, these people have the admiration of all Thais for their unswerving dedication to the truth. Say what you want about Suthep - but without him Yingluck and the Pheu Thai administration would still be in parliament. He's over the top, to be sure, but has still managed to avoid the particular intergalactic vistas that Jatuporn seems privy to. He's been a welcome distraction for Pheu Thai, because he takes the spotlight off the man who is the true founder of the PDRC - Thaksin himself. But Pheu Thai and CAPO belabours under the assumption that if they could only just get Suthep off the streets, if they could just get the 57 other PDRC leaders off the streets, if they just get all the academics and others who have found themselves on the PDRC stage - amounting to about 300 more people - if they could just get people from joining the movement on the street, if they could just get every man, woman, and child off the streets of Bangkok - then they would have an election which would run smoothly and joyously and be avidly and joyfully participated by every party including the delirious support of the Democratic party, so that Pheu Thai could have the quorum to do whatever they want. If only those things could happen.

So many ifs - and so little time.

i think u forget a small aspect,PTP or Trt or others are elected by the peole of Thailand, they voted Thaksin or Yingluk into office,Suthep and friends did not win an election for a long time and probably won't win any.But they don't have to care because thanks to certain institutions in Thailand they are allowed to do whatever it costs to topple an elected government.Again PTP is elected by the people of Thailand,U don't like it or Suthep does not like it is not the point.U think thais are stupid,so be it.Still, it's there decision.I don't like Merkel or Cameron but I have to accept the people voted them into office.Fortunately Germany or UK does not have a constitution what makes people untouchable by law so they can hold a country in stone age

Merkel and Cameron didn't go to poor people and gave them 100 Euro/GBP to vote for them.

Depends on your point of view - let's take two of Merkel's election promises in 2013..

1. Raise family tax benefit - cost 7.5 billion euros

2. Change in pension benefits for women raising children at home - cost 6.5 billion euros

Is that vote-buying? Many people on this forum would normally say "Yes".

Meanwhile in other matters no progress has been or no doubt will be made concerning the interference in Thailands domestic political affair by one Robert Amsterdam who was on stage and inciting anti social actions a couple of days back.

Connor Purcell was rapidly arrested for his involvement in demonstrations in the past.

Tharit must surely explain how come Robert Amsterdam has not been the subject of a complaint hat we are aware off or has Robert Amsterdam received Shinwatra Red Shirt diplomatic immunity ?

Surely we are not seeing double standards in operation from the great egalitarian Shinwatra's and the Red Shirts are we ?

I dont know who this RA is and i don't care. he should be deported for participating in any political rally in this country. I f I am not mistaken his embassy sould do it right away.

Untrue. Check my previous post about the POPULAR vote in 2007. The democrats WON but got less seats. Much less. Due to the way the electoral system is set up to profit the PPP, TRT or PTP depending on the name change after being convicted of electoral fraud.

Tharit you mean? He's totally one sided and biased, only investigates those who oppose the master and has his own unique interpretations of the law. Guess that is a bit like stealing democracy.

Wonder if anyone will question the speed with which he choose to investigate this charge, filed by a man who should be in prison?

How is the investigation going against Tharit and the land that he may or may not have illegally built on?

Now isn't this report false? Previous reports (and what actually happened) were that they went to the stations, protested, stayed overnight in some cases, and left.

Now they are turning it into a case of occupying a tv station?
