If they do that to one of their own innocent citizens they will probably make us farangs get down on our knees to beg for our existence nope You mean worse than that? newcomer71
every article is written so badly that merely could call it copy/paste of a police report. And the police report is just taken from what the 17 year-old pregnant girl told the police. I did not make a comment about this specific episode. Are you trying to use my post for make a flame? casualbiker
We all know that Khaosod often come out with fake news to discredit Suthep. Please check your fact first. This guy could be hiding petrol bomb in his ice pack or something. Remember the taxi driver that was beaten up in Vipawadee afew months ago, he was throwing petrol bomb at Suthep's peaceful people. article "PDRC guards accused of assault" was published yesterday evening by bangkok post. Exactly same story, just with a little less details. Is bangkok post, backing the pdrc, enough credible to you? Not exactly the same.. "Pol Col Wichai said it was believed Mr Thanakrit may have had an argument with the guards" I hope Mr Thanakrit gets well. I also hope people start talking to each other! robblok
PR, I think you will find nobody here is defending the action of a few idiots who should rightly be put behind bars for this. Now if only the same were true for those who shot up Trat, blew up the kids at Radjidamri. Those people should be called scum of the earth as well in your eyes? Totally indefensible this, but at least the suspects are delivered in the hands of the police for further processing. I have not seen that at the red side. The Trad killers and so many others still no sign. But the PCAD has handed over suspects more then a few times now. That is a clear statement they don't stand for this violence.

xminator
"Air Chief Marshal Watchara Ruethakanee told the press yesterday, the people who injured 29-year-old Thanakrit Pinwiset were not PDRC guards, but the people who rescued the man by calling for an ambulance" I don't get it. Is he saying that the people first stabbed the man and then subsequently rescued him by calling for an ambulance? Or maybe, he stabbed himself instead to try and show that the PDRC guards can be violent? Aye, he attempted suicide and the heroic PDRC guards valiantly rescued him and called the ambulance. Morch
PDRC denies their guards stabbed ice delivery man By Coconuts Bangkok BANGKOK: -- A People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) core member said their guards were not involved in the near-fatal stabbing of an ice delivery man in front of Channel 5 television station on Saturday night. Air Chief Marshal Watchara Ruethakanee told the press yesterday, the people who injured 29-year-old Thanakrit Pinwiset were not PDRC guards, but the people who rescued the man by calling for an ambulance. The victim's girlfriend Nantawadee Chuaimaleechom filed a complaint against the PDRC security guards for stabbing her boyfriend when he accidentally hit a traffic cone placed on the road as he was driving a pickup truck to deliver ice on Phahonyothin road Read More: http://bangkok.coconuts.co/2014/05/12/pdrc-denies-their-guards-stabbed-ice-delivery-man -- Coconuts Bangkok 2014-05-12 "Air Chief Marshal Watchara Ruethakanee told the press yesterday, the people who injured 29-year-old Thanakrit Pinwiset were not PDRC guards, but the people who rescued the man by calling for an ambulance" I don't get it. Is he saying that the people first stabbed the man and then subsequently rescued him by calling for an ambulance? Or maybe, he stabbed himself instead to try and show that the PDRC guards can be violent? He seems to claim that the guy was stabbed by "some Puerto Rican guy", then the guards arrived on the scene and called an ambulance, thus heroically saving the the guy. You see....it was just a bit of confusion, really. Couldn't have been the guards as (not making this up) "they are not trained to use violence". So there!. The Trad killers and so many others still no sign. But the PCAD has handed over suspects more then a few times now. That is a clear statement they don't stand for this violence. Really? Seen any reports about the 5 (police say 10) PDRC guards accused of beating up and stabbing the Army Colonel? The Vice Admiral sorry Air Chief Marshal or something said the guards weren't involved at all apart so how can the suspects have been handed over? There is no report that this has been done. Come to think of it, just exactly how many people have the PCAD / PDRC actually handed over to the police - I'll be grateful for further info? PS Of course you can always sue them, The buddha says that's OK by him! "I admit that sometimes the guards' actions affect other people, but we have always apologised and offered compensation for the damages," Buddha Issara was quoted by Daily News as saying. "If those persons want to sue us, we also accept that." Edited May 12, 2014 by fab4
JAG
Someone needs to stop these flamin hooligans The RTP won't, because if they arrest them: A, the courts will bail them immediately, B,if PDRC gain power any policeman who has made such an arrest knows he will be dead meat. The Army are far too busy monitoring a few loonies who may have made a speech calling for an independent Lanna state. The rest of the establishment don't really have a problem with the odd peasant getting a good shoeing. After all it helps them know their place, and may avoid the inconvenience of having to shoot a few hundred of them in due course if they get too uppety! jonclark
These anti government thugs are making the Red Shirts look like Saints.Impossible. Why are so many people trying to make out one is better than the other or vice verse. That the actions of one can be used as an excuse for the actions of the other. . Agreeably both sides have had their incidents, but rather than a case of saying one is better than the other, it's a case that one has had fewer, less severe, incidents. Agree there shouldn't be any by either side, but there have been. The reply above was made in response to the silly opine that somehow the worse side is not only not worse, but has been magically transformed into being completely guiltless. It was certainly not an excuse for what happened (if it did occur as reported by a dubious source).Just a short, reality-based reply to a drive-by nonsensical remark. . Yes - It's just a shame that utter drivel has become the currency of political conversation on TV
gabruce
So the story is a 17 year old pregnant woman reports that her boyfriend was attacked and stabbed after hitting a traffic cone (translation correct?). She believes the attackers were PCAD guards (outside channel 5). PCAD denies it, saying the guards come on the scene after the attack and called the ambulance. Police are investigating further. Story carried on the BP and KS. Chances are reasonably good that the guards did attack the driver, HOWEVER, up until now they haven't denied any of the previous incidents, so it's possible they weren't responsible this time. It's only been a day, so the Police need more time to investigate before they can say too much more. If they are, they need to be turned over to the police (PCAD better do a good internal review). This kind of behavior cannot be tolerated or condoned and really must stop.

Eric Loh
This gone beyond colours; a young man stabbed next to a pleading wife. Can't be more sick than this. What we have loose in the city is a gang not a political group who is terrorizing and beating up civilians and the PDRC leaders can't control them. Wife can't find anything at all from all the major Thai news outlets either. You all know it never happened..... Are you all so naive and gullible... Every time you yellow lot mention something the reds did wrong to try to balance the barbarism of PCAD, you are implicitly or explicitly justifying the barbarism. If its wrong, its wrong--red or yellow. Just makes me think you are heartless.
