May 14, 201411 yr NOKIA has just recently come out with a line of Android phones along with their Windows phones. If you are not into a wide variety of apps, then they can be a very good value. Note on the new Android models: Apparently, this is NOT the GOOGLE Android; there is no access to PLAY STORE or other Google Apps. If you have Windows 8 on a computer, you would probably be very comfortable with one of the Windows versions. Both NOKIA versions, Windows & Android, have nice phones in the B5000-6000 range. Their cameras get excellent reviews and the build quality seems good. They come in a array of bright colors...worth checking out. On sale at Jay Mart and most mall stores. A friend just bought a very nice HUAWEI Y-600 at Jay Mart for less than B4000. It has a nice 5" screen, dual core processor and a decent 2000 mAh battery. Rear camera is 5mp.. It is only 512K Ram and 4gb internal memory so not up there with the pricier phones but for the usage you describe, worth a look. Some other nice looking phones in the B5000++ range from Lenovo and Oppo, One other excellent deal is at AIS shops. They have several phones in a combo SIM package starting at B1600. Another friend bought the ACER LIQUID combo they sell for B2400 last year and really likes it. It's no powerhouse and the screen is a small 3 1/2" but for the money...very decent. They have about 5 or six models of phones so worth checking out. AIS is on the 4th floor at both Siam Paragon and Central World.
