I am interested in a Subaru XV, but I cannot find any statistics on the number sold in Thailand

and the dealer/servicing network seems to be very sparse.

Does any TV reader have a Subaru XV?

There are Subaru Dealers here - Motor Image comes to mind. I see a few on the road. Looks very good in black. The orange is hideous.

Where are you located?

Thanks bkkjames. Located Sattahip. I believe geographical groups of dealers are franchisees of Motor Image. Pattaya "showroom" has a torn banner but no Subaru XV and I believe is part of Laem Chabang, which is hardly a hive of activity. Thus nearest functioning workshop is at Samut Prakarn or BKK. I was in Malaysia recently where they are assembled and saw two or three in a week. The declared target last year was to make 5,000 for Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand but I cannot find out how many have been sold in LOS. Some years ago BKK Post had a weekly motoring section which monthly gave statistics of all makes sold but it seems this has been discontinued. I do not want to buy a failed import with no chance of dealer backup. Shame because it is a very nice vehicle and may be a best seller in some parts of USA. I still want one so any additional info would be gladly received.

its pas Notrth Pattaya on the right hand side as you head towards Laeam Chabang...you can email them to get the map, it's pretty easy to spot.

lots of these XV's in Bangkok. they have a good warranty if I recall. It's not a failed import but will never be a huge seller here, like all Subaru's . I would not be scared of owning one.

One of my BIL's has an XV, nice car to drive and to look at IMHO.

I'd never buy one though.

couldn't find specifics for XV sales, but so far this year for Passenger cars up to 7 people (Ri. 1) - 447 Subarus have been registered with engines 1801-2000cc and 20 over 2001cc
