Any new procedures at Phuket Immigration?

My questions are due to the increasing crowds at Phuket Immigration.

1. Are there any new queuing procedures for 90 day report or Extension of Stay for non-OA?

2. Are there recommended times to visit, that may be better than others?

3. My 90 day report is due on May 27th. My next OA extension is due on June 18th. How early can I apply for the Extension? i.e. Can I apply for the Extension on May 27th and do both in one trip to Immigration?

Much appreciated.

There is now a numbering system to avoid queuing.

You don't need to complete a form for 90 days reporting, they now generate it on computer.

Many believe it's much quicker now. My last extension took about 17 minutes, the 90 day report was done in just a few minutes. Luck played a part.

Don't go on Mon or Friday, other than that it's pot luck with crowds.

I would think 3 weeks early for your extension would be too soon, but I'm ready to be corrected on that.

I thought in Phuket town u first have the farang volunteers check ur papers than they give you a number.

unless ur close to Phuket town, go to patong immigration for 90 day reporting, ( can not do extensions there thou) no lines, few people

ONLY open 10-12 and 1-3 thou

You can apply for ur year extenisons up to a month in advance

AS stated avoid mondays/fridays or day after holiday

^^^Correct, the volunteers check papers then issue a number. The last time I went, I arrived ½ hour before they opened. There were 7 people already waiting. By 830 (I think that’s when they opened) there were 30 people waiting. When the doors opened, many people cut in front past the folks who had taken the time to arrive extra early. Complete pack of arsholes. Fortunately, most of the queue jumpers didn’t have there papers in order (surprise, surprise) and ended up going home with nothing. Karma at its best.

Gao Sip Wan.........No Form... Copy your ID page from the passport, copy you visa or extension of stay page. & you current arrival card stapled to the page with the arrival stamp so that both are clearly visible. You have to visit the Vol's desk to get a que slip. That's All folks....
