PDRC marches to Pahurat business area in a move to expel 24 caretaker ministers

BANGKOK, 19 May 2014 (NNT) - The People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) secretary-general has been rallying support for the dismissal of the Pheu Thai Party’s caretaker ministers.

PDRC leader Suthep Thaugsuban along with other core leaders has led a team of anti-government protestors out of the Phan Fa Lelat Bridge to the Memorial Bridge and the Thai-Indian community area of Pahurat in an attempt to display the “People’s Power” to oust the current government. He also urged the public to join the PDRC’s movements during May 23rd to May 25th.

During the march, the group has also spread out their forces in an attempt to locate the 24 remaining caretaker ministers of the Pheu Thai government and pressure them to resign from posts.

The PDRC has also requested that a neutral prime minister and a new Cabinet be designated so that a reformation can take shape before a new general election.

This is hilarious. Look at the language in the news piece -- 'forces' and 'people's movement'.

What rubbish. Utter rubbish. They cannot succeed in any scenario.

Duh. The other side is scummy, but has a strong defense. That's why they are still there.

Duh.

So what is the count of resigned ministers so far?

One day down & six to go before Suthep reneges on his latest promise. What a tosser!

Well there are only 26 left out of how many ?

And all of them have been appointed by the convicted criminal in Dubai.

Nothing short of harassment and intimidation.

Nothing short of stupidity and desperation. Reminds me of Custer's last stand before being wiped out unexpectedly due to overwhelming forces. Maybe they can hang Suthep's scalp on the Democracy Monument as a trophy?

A really good point. Is there something illegal about that? Just asking.

Then again their entire election campaign to get YL in was based on taking commands from Thaksin ("...thinks, PT does").

Anyway, the BBC's choice of description "self-imposed exile", sounds much more credible, what is it with them?

Another fruitless day for Suthep. No minister resigned and the SRT and BMTA refused to take part in the general strike. Caretaker PM meeting with the senators was to affirm that he is still very much in charge till next election. BTW, crowds during the march is also getting smaller. Guess tomorrow will be just the same old marches for nothing.
