neverdie
whenever I get something knew I get this burning desire to pull it apart. it's. like a compulsion for me, so strong. I've done some shocking things in the past, pulling new things apart, then struggling to get them back together. Sometimes I get them back together and then I find I've still got a few spare screws or nuts left over. ....... the wife will watch me like a hawke. Years ago I got a new car, took it home and washed it, put it in the shed and a few hours later I was out there in the middle of the night, I got so carried away with my investigations and before I knew where the heck I was I had hundreds of bits scattered all around the place. I actually got in such a muddle with it took me weeks to get it back together again. same thing again, handful of parts left over, always seem to run alright that car. the wife sent me to the doctor about it.... anyway, she'll be watching me closely with the new camera. I pulled the iPad apart too......it seems to works okay, most of the time.

sunshine51
I love tearing stuff apart also and even more...putting it back together again. Getting sand grains outta lenses is my specialty. Seriously. Mind you there will be times when you won't have to use that "soft" filter to achieve that desired romantic effect. But the sand will definitely be gone.... I stripped down a Helios 44-2 recently to remove the aperture pin so I could stop it down on the K-mount. It doesn't work anymore. However, I did manage to do the same with a Revuenon 55/1.2 and make the aperture clickless (very cool lens). That's now smokin' hot and sharp wide open.

sunshine51
£12,500 for a complete set up with a D810. Nik Trinity, 85/1.4G, 135/2DC, Carl Zeiss Otus 55/1.4, Nik grip, many batts, SB910, Add to basket. Add to basket. Subtract a bit...you won't need the 85@ 1.4, 135 @2 DC and quite possibly the Otus if you have the "trinity". And...you don't need the SB910 when a 900 will do just fine as long as you know the difference between the two and why the 910 came on the market in the first place. But you can dream!
