I have said from the get go that highspeed trains are not needed in Thailand. Upgrading the rolling stock, dual and upgraded track are sufficient. It will increase the speed of train travel considerably, without needing to go over the top with a Thai Shinkansen or SNCF-TVG equivalent. The very people the trains serve couldn't afford to pay the fares for a highspeed train ticket anyway unless highly subsidized, which would put the SRT and government even further into debt.

No off budget funding required.

My first thought is to freeze all the defunct govt. official assets until they find out what happened to all the rice and rice budget. This will force these crooks to squeal on each others. The military has the power, they should just do it. These politicians need to pay for their criminal acts.
